CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 38 - 48

 2:38. We said: "Descend from it all of you, so when the guidance comes from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve."

2:39 And those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are the dwellers of Hell, in it they will abide.

2:40 O Children of Israel, remember My blessings that I had blessed you with, and fulfill your pledge to Me that I may fulfill My pledge to you, and reverence Me alone.

[Fear the consequences of violating Divine Commands.

2:41 And grace yourselves with belief in what I have revealed now confirming in what you already have. Be not the first among those who will conceal the truth therein, and trade not My revelations for petty gains. Rather, be mindful of Me.

[Confirming the truth in’ 2:101. And when a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know.

Petty gains = The false dogma of being the ‘chosen ones’ which is consistently rejected by the Qur’an. 

The only criterion of honor in the Sight of Allah is character 2:80. And they said: "The Fire will not touch us except for a few number of days." Say: "Have you taken a pledge with Allah? If so, then Allah will not break His pledge. Or do you say about Allah what you do not know?"

10:69. Say: "Those who invent lies about God, they will not be successful."

29:23. And those who rejected the revelations of God and in meeting Him; those have forsaken My mercy; and they will have a painful retribution.

49:13. O Mankind! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that you may recognize one another. Certainly, the most honored among you in the Sight of Allah is the one who is best in conduct. Allah is Knower, Aware.

Kufr = Opposing the truth = Denying the truth = Concealing the truth = Ingratitude = Rejection of truth = Choosing to live in darkness = Hiding or covering something = Closing eyes to light. 

Kaafir = One given to Kufr =One who adamantly denies the truth = One who opposes the truth = Commonly translated as ‘infidel’ = Derivatively and positively, a farmer who hides the seed under the soil.

57:20. Know all of you that  the life of this world is only play and a fleeting delight, and your mutual bragging, and rivalry in riches and children. It is like abundant rain that brings forth plantation and pleases the farmers (Kuffaar). But then the plantation withers and you can see it turn into yellow hay. And in the end it crumbles into dust! But in the Hereafter it is either grievous suffering or protecting forgiveness from Allah and His approval. So, what is the life of this world, but an enjoyment of illusion?

Therefore, Kufr or Kafir does not apply to the unaware, anyone to whom the message has not been conveyed or reached yet.

Taqwa = Seeking to journey through life in security = Protect oneself from disintegration of the personality = Journeying in security = Being careful and observant = Getting empowered against evil = Avoid overstepping the laws = Exercising caution = Preserving oneself against deterioration = Good conduct = Building character = Live upright = Fear the consequences of violating Divine Commands = Being mindful of the Creator = Remaining conscious of the Divinely ordained Values = Taking precaution = Being watchful against error]

2:42 Do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you are well aware of it. 

[2:159. Indeed, those who conceal anything of the evidence and the guidance that We have revealed after We have made it clear to mankind through this Book; such are the ones whom Allah will condemn and whom all who have discernment will condemn.

3:71.O People of the Book! Why do you cloak the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth that you are so well aware of?]

2:43. Strive to establish the System of Salaat, and to set up the Just Economic Order in the society. And bow down with others who bow down to these commands.

[System of Salaat = The System in which following the Divine commands is facilitated in the society.]

2:44 Do you exhort the people to do good, but forget yourselves, while you are reciting the Book? Do you not comprehend?

[2:10 In their hearts is a disease, so Allah increases their disease, and they will have a painful retribution for what they have denied.

2:177 Piety is not to turn your faces towards the east and the west, but pious is one who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Book, and the prophets, and who gives money out of love to the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to free the slaves; and who upholds the contact prayer, and who contributes towards purification; and those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in the face of adversity and hardship and when in despair. These are the ones who have been truthful, and these are the righteous.]

2:45. If you wish to strengthen your own ‘self’ and promote the well-being of the society, then be patient and resolute in establishing the Divinely ordained System of Life. It is hard except for those who are humbly committed to a noble cause.

[2:153. O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Seek help by patiently following the Divine Commands. Certainly, God is with the steadfast.

70:17.  It calls him who turned and fled from truth.

90:10.And shown him the two paths?

You have become used to thriving on the fruit of others’ toil, such as devouring usury, and, therefore, economic equity and social equality strike at your selfish interests.

2:275. Those who consume usury do not rise except as one being influenced by the touch of the devil. That is because they have said: "Trade is the same as usury." While Allah has made trade lawful, and He has made usury unlawful. Whoever has received understanding from His Rabb and ceases, then he will be forgiven for what was before this and his case will be with Allah. 

But whoever returns, then they are the people of the Fire, in it they will abide.

Khushoo’ = Being humbly compliant = Sincerely committed = Being devoted to a noble cause. 

Sabr = Patience = Facing adversity with courage = Steadfastness = Resolve = Determination in the face of affluence or adversity.]

2:46 The ones who conceive that they will meet their Lord and that to Him they will return.

2:47 O Children of Israel, remember My blessings that I had blessed you with, and that I had preferred you over all the worlds.

[when you were faithful to commands.

2:122. O Children of Israel, remember My blessings that I had blessed you with, and that I had preferred you over all the worlds.]

2:48 And beware of a Day when no soul can avail another soul, nor will any intercession be accepted from it, nor will any ransom be taken, nor will they have supporters.

[6:164. Say: "Shall I seek other than God as a Lord when He is the Lord of everything?" And every soul earns what is for it, and none will carry the burden of another. Then to your Rabb is your return and He will inform you of what you disputed in.

Shafa'ah = Stand up as witness to the Truth = Intercession = Clearing a falsehood assigned to someone.

2:123.And beware of a Day when no soul can avail another soul, nor will any amendment be accepted from it, nor will any intercession help it; they will not be supported.

6:50.Say(O prophet): "I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the future, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I merely follow what is inspired to me." Say(O prophet): "Are the blind and the seer the same? Do you not think?"

6:70. Leave alone those who have taken their system for play and distraction, and this worldly life has tempted them. And remind with it that a soul will suffer for what it has earned, it will not have besides Allah any supporter nor intercessor; and even if it brings all justice, none will be accepted from it. These are the ones who have suffered with what they have earned; for them will be a boiling drink, and a painful retribution for what they had rejected.

32:4. Allah is the One who has created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in six stages, then He settled upon the Throne. You do not have besides Him any Lord, nor intercessor. Will you not then remember?

39:44. Say(O prophet: "To Allah belongs all intercession." To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you will be returned.

40:17. Today, every soul will be recompensed for what it had earned. There will be no injustice today. Truly, Allah is swift in reckoning.

10:3. Your Lord is God who has created the heavens and the earth in six stages, then He settled upon the Throne; He manages all affairs. There is no intercessor except after His permission. Such is Allah your Rabb, so serve Him. Would you not remember?

19:87. None will possess intercession, except for he who has taken a pledge with the Almighty.

Not even the Messengers of Allah are exempt from the Divine Law of Recompense.

6:15. Say( O prophet) : "I fear if I disobey my Rabb, the retribution of a great Day!"

10:15. And when Our clear revelations were recited to them, those who do not wish to meet Us said: "Bring a Qur'an other than this, or change it!" Say( O prophet) : "It is not for me to change it of my own accord, I merely follow what is inspired to me. I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great Day!"

39:13. Absolutely, to Allah is the true system. And those who set up allies besides Him: "We only serve them so that they may bring us closer to Allah." Allah will judge between them in what they dispute. For Allah does not guide him who is a liar, a rejecter.

72:20. Say: "I only call on my Rabb, and I do not set up anyone with Him."]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 31 - 37

2:31 And He taught Adam the names of all things, then He displayed them to the angels and said: "Inform Me of the names of these if you are truthful."

2:32 They said: "Glory to You, we have no knowledge except that which You have taught us, You are the Knowledgeable, the Wise."

2:33. He said: "O Adam, inform them of their names," so when he informed them of their names, He said: "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth, and that I know what you reveal and what you are hiding?"

2:34 And We said to the angels: "Yield to Adam," so they yielded except for Satan, he refused and became arrogant, and became of the rejecters.

[This has been placed for the humans to exercise free will and achieve personal growth or self-actualization. But this ’self’ is vulnerable to the evil prompting of its own intrinsic selfish desire or that of extrinsic sources. In that situation the ’self’ rebels against the higher controls of human judgment, and more importantly, against the revealed Moral Values. This rebellious state of the ’self’ has the ability to rationalize its desire and emotions through the intellect. And this rebellious state of the ‘Ego’ is Satan or Iblees.

It was this Iblees that refused to humble itself to the higher human controls of judgment and Divine Commands. Incidentally, the Qur’an nowhere mentions a human ’soul’, ’spirit’ or ’spirituality’. Iblees = Deprivation = Hopelessness = Frustration = Desperation and regret = Rebellious state of the human ’self’ that drifts away from the Divine Commands, but wishes to escape personal responsibility by blaming Allah for its own misdeeds.

See 7:16. Iblees said, "Since You have willed that I go astray, I will lurk in ambush for them in Your straight path.

”Sajdah = Prostration = Complete submission = Willful obedience = Utter humility = Adoration = Utmost commitment to Divine Cause = Humbling one’s own self]

2:35. We told the early humans, Adam and his wife, “O Mankind! Reside in this land which is Paradise and partake the fruit thereof as you please. But do not go near this branching Tree. Or, you will become of the wrongdoers.

[If you branch off into casts, sects, and rivalry, you shall replace your Paradise with Hell.

2:213.Mankind were one single community (but selfishness divided them). So, Allah sent Prophets as bearers of good news and warnings. He sent down with them the scripture in absolute truth that it might judge between people wherein they differed. But again, out of mutual rivalry, they divided themselves after all evidence of the Right had come to them! So, Allah shows the lighted road to those who would acknowledge the truth and thus resolve their disputes. And Allah guides to the straight road him who wills to be guided

4:65. By your Rabb,they do not really believe unless they make you a judge in all their disagreements, then find no hesitation in their hearts in accepting your judgment, and submit with full submission.

10:19. All mankind were but one community; then they differed. Had it not been for a Word that went forth from your Rabb , He would have judged their disputes immediately.

20:117. And thereupon We said, “O Adam! Surely, this is an enemy to you and your wife so let him not drive the two of you out of this Garden so that you have to toil hard”.

Zulm = To displace something from its rightful place = Replace good with evil = Relegate the truth = Transgression = Oppression = Violation of human rights = Wrongdoing]

2:36 But (iblis) Satan caused them both to stumble therein and got them out of the happy state they were in. And so We said, “Degraded you have become with wedges of discord among yourselves! There shall be for you habitation and livelihood on earth for a while.”

2:37. Then Adam received Words of guidance from his Rabb and He accepted his repentance. Certainly, He is the Acceptor of repentance, the Most Merciful.

[The word “Eve” or Hawwa is not mentioned in the Qur’an. She is described with dignity as Mer’a-til-Aadam = Adam’s Zaujah = Wife, Consort, Mate of Adam = Mrs. Adam.

The Qur’an adopts the beautiful method of either gently correcting or ignoring the errors in other scriptures. It does not repeat the Biblical fallacy of ‘Eve’ having been created from Adam’s rib. She also repented and Allah treated both of them equally.

7:23. They said, "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. Unless You forgive us and have mercy on us, we will certainly be lost.”

Again, Adam and his wife mean humankind, male and female.* *Taubah = Repentance = Returning to the right path = Realizing one's fault and taking corrective action.

4:17.Repentance is only for those who commit a sin out of ignorance and then repent soon after; these will be forgiven by Allah, for Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

4:18.The forgiveness is not for those who commit transgressions until death comes to one of them, and then he says, “I repent now.” Nor is the forgiveness for those who die as rejecters of truth. We have prepared an awful suffering for them.

5:39.Whoever repents after the crime and makes amends, Allah grants him pardon. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

6:54. And if those who believe in Our revelations come to you, then say: "Peace be upon you, our Rabb has decreed mercy upon Himself, that any of you who commits sin out of ignorance and then repents afterwards and amends, then He is Forgiving, Merciful."

16:119.Then your Rabb to those who do evil out of ignorance, then they repent after that and they make good, your Rabb after that is Forgiver, Merciful.

24:5. Except those who repent after this and do good, then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 26 - 30

 2:26 Allah does not shy away from putting forth the example of a mosquito, or anything above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Rabb. As for the rejecters, they say: "What does Rabb intend with this example?" He strays many by it, and He guides many by it; but He only strays by it the wicked.

[Faasiqoon singular, Faasiq = Those who drift away = Who slip out of discipline = Those who cross the bounds of what is right = Fruit whose seed slips out = Egg yolk that drops out of its shell = One who transgresses Divine laws and thus becomes vulnerable to desires and extrinsic challenge.

3:81 And Allah took a covenant from the prophets: "For what I have given you of the Book and wisdom, then a messenger will come to you authenticating what is with you. You will believe in him and support him." He said: "Do you testify, and agree to this burden?" They said: "We testify." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you bearing witness."

5:3.Forbidden to you is that which is already dead, and the blood, and flesh (meat) of the swine, and what was dedicated to other than Allah, and that which has been strangled, and that which has been beaten to death, and that which has fallen from a height, and that which has been gored, and that which the wild animals have eaten from except what you managed to rescue, and what has been slaughtered on altars, and what you divide through arrows of chance. This is vile. Today the rejecters have given up from your system, so do not be concerned by them, but be concerned by Me. Today I have perfected your system for you, and completed My blessings upon you, and I have approved submission as the system for you. So, whoever is forced by severe hunger and not seeking sin, then Allah is oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful.

5:47.Let the People of the injeel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever fails to judge or rule by what Allah has revealed, are drifters from the right path (‘Faasiqoon’).

5:108.This is best as they are more likely to bring the testimony as intended, or face that their oaths would be disregarded as the previous oaths. And be aware of God, and listen; God does not guide who drift away from the truth.

6:121. Do not eat anything (not just meat) on which Allah name has not been mentioned, for that will be drifting away from what is right. Satanic people inspire their friends to dispute with you. If you were to obey them, you would be idolaters.(2:173, 5:3, 6:145. Fisq =Drifting away=Disobedience. Mentioning the name of God draws our attention to Him as the Almighty Provider and Rabb. Mushrikoon = Idolaters = Pagans = Those who ascribe divinity besides Allah = Those who prefer human ‘authorities’ or clergy over revelation = Who ‘worship’ their own desires.)

7:102. And in most of them We found no bond with their honored stature of humanity (17:70). And We found that most of them slipped away from the Permanent Values.

9:24. Say, “If your parents, your children, and your siblings, and your spouses, and your tribe, and the wealth you have acquired, and the business in which you fear a decline, and the houses you love, are dearer to you than God and His Messenger and striving in His cause, then wait until Allah brings His command to pass.” Allah does not guide those who drift away from Divine laws.

9:80. It does not matter if you ask forgiveness for them, or not, Allah will not forgive them even if you ask seventy times for their forgiveness. They have rejected Allah and His Messenger. Allah does not guide people that choose to drift away from the right path.

24:4. Those who accuse chaste women and then fail to produce four witnesses carry out eighty lashes to such accusers. And never in the future accept their testimony. They have drifted away from morality.

24:55. Allah has promised that those of you who will believe in the Divine laws and strengthen human resources, He will make them rulers on earth, as He granted rule to the previous nations. He will certainly establish for them the System of Life that He has approved for them, and will replace their fear with peace and security. All this because they obey Me alone. They ascribe no partner to Me. But all those who, after this, deny these laws will drift out.

59:19.And be not like those who forgot Allah, and therefore, He made them forget themselves. It is they who have drifted away.]

2:27 The ones who break the pledge to Allah after making its covenant, and they sever what Allah had ordered to be delivered, and they make corruption on the earth; these are the losers.

[9:33-34. He is the One who has sent His messenger with the guidance and the system of truth, so that it will expose all other systems, even if the polytheists hate it.

O you who believe, many of the Priests and Monks consume the money of the people in falsehood, and they repel from the path of Allah. And those who hoard gold and silver, and do not spend it in the cause of Allah, give them news of a painful retribution.

9:111.Allah  has purchased from the believers their very lives and their wealth, that they will have the Paradise; they fight in the cause of Allah so they kill and are killed; a promise that is binding on Him in the Taurat and the Injeel, and the Qur'an. And whoever fulfills this pledge with Allah, then have good news of the pledge which you are concluded with. Such is the great triumph.

10:19.The people were but one nation, then they differed. And had it not been for a previous command from your Lord, the matter would have been immediately judged between them for what they differed.

13:20-24. Those who fulfill the pledge of Allah, and they do not break the covenant.

And those who deliver what Allah has ordered to be delivered, and they are concerned towards their Rabb and they fear a terrible reckoning.

And those who are patient seeking the face of their Rabb; and they hold the contact salat, and they spend from what We have bestowed upon them secretly and openly, and they counter evil with good; these will have an excellent abode.

They will enter the Gardens of Eden, along with all who are righteous, of their parents, spouses and children. Angels will greet them at every gate.

"Peace be upon you for what you have been patient for. Excellent indeed is the final abode."

31:28. Your creation and your resurrection is all like that of one soul. God is Hearer, Seer.

83:6.The Day the people will stand before the Rabb of the worlds.

114:1. Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of the people,"]

2:28 How can you reject Allah when you were dead and He brought you to life? Then He makes you die, then He brings you to life, then to Him you return.

[Two lives and deaths

 37:58.Are we then not going to die?.

40:11.They will say: "Our Rabb, You have made us die twice, and You have given us life twice. Now we have confessed our sins. Is there any way out of this state?"

44:56. They do not taste death again after the first death. Thus will He save them from getting stuck at the retribution of Hell]

2:29. He is the One Who has created for you whatever is on earth – all of it. And He has applied His Design to the sky and fashioned it in several ascending heights. He is the Supreme Knower of what all things are destined to be.

[11:7. He is the One who has created the heavens and the earth in six epochs(ayyamin), and His Throne was upon the water; so as to test who from among you works the best. And when you say: "You will be resurrected after the death," those who have rejected say: "This is but clear magic!"

53:31. And to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth. He will reward those who do evil according to their works. And He will give excellent reward to those who do good to others.

 57:1. Glorifying Allah is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Noble, the Wise.

Saba' indicates seven or several. Thinking of the earth’s atmosphere, 

3:191. Standing, sitting, and reclining, they reflect upon the wonders of creation in the skies and earth, saying, "Our Rabb! You have not created all this without purpose. Glory to You! Save us, then, from the doom of the fire.”

7:185. Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that Allah has created? Perhaps their time is drawing near; In what Hadith after this (Quran)one are they going to believe them?

17:36. Do not reach conclusions about that of which you have no knowledge.Surely, the hearing, the sight and the faculty of reasoning – all of them – will be questioned.*

88:17. Will they not look at the camels, how were they created?]

2:30. Your Rabb announced His Plan to the angels, “I am about to place on earth a new creation that will have supremacy over it.” They exclaimed, “Will you place on it such creation as will cause disorder therein and shed blood!- Whereas we strive to manifest Your glory!

”He answered, “I know what you do not know.”

[ Allah had programmed the angels Allah forces in nature with specific tasks that express the Divine will. He created humans through the process of evolution and granted them the ability to make free choices. They may choose to follow Divine Guidance or deviate from it.

33:72. We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But man accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

The "angels" were not even remotely aware of any will other than Allah.

The Qur’an metaphorically portrays the immense responsibility given to humans in the story of Adam.

Free will may be likened to the breathing into humans from the Divine Energy.

15:28.And your Rabb said to the angels: "I am creating a human being from hardened clay of aged mud."."

16:49.And to Allah prostrate all those in the heavens and all those on the earth, from the creatures and the angels, and they are not arrogant.

6:2. He is the One who has created you from clay, then He decreed a period of time for you; a time only known by Him. Yet you still deny.

7:189. He is the One who has created you from one person, and He made from it its mate to reside with. When he dwelled with her, she became pregnant with a light load, and she continued with it; then when it became heavy, they called on Allah, their Rabb: "If You give us an upright child, then we will be among the thankful."

15:26. And We have created man from a sludge from hot sediment.

22:5. O people, if you are in doubt as to the resurrection, then We have created you from dust, then from a seed, then from an embryo, then from a fetus developed and undeveloped so that We make it clear to you. And We settle in the wombs what We wish to an appointed time, then We bring you out a child, then you reach your maturity, and of you are those who will pass away, and of you are those who are sent to an old age where he will not be able to learn any new knowledge after what he already has. And you see the land still, but when We send down the water to it, it vibrates and grows, and it brings forth of every lovely pair.

23:12.And We have created man from an extract from clay.

25:54. And He is the One who has created from the water a human being, so He made him multiply and mate. And your Rabb is Capable.

32:7. The One who perfected everything He created and He began the creation of man from clay.

35:11.And Allah created you from dust, then from a seed, then He made you into pairs. And no female becomes pregnant, nor gives birth, without His knowledge. Nor does anyone have his life extended, or his life is shortened, except in a record. This is easy for Allah.

37:11. So ask them: "Are they the more powerful creation, or the others We created?" We have created them from a clay that is sticky.

71:17. "And Allah made you grow from the earth as growth."*]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 20 - 25

2:20. The lightning nearly snatches their sight, whenever it lights the path they walk in it, and when it becomes dark for them they stand. Had Allah willed, He would have taken their hearing and their sight; Allah is capable of all things.

[Absaarahum = Their sight = Their vision = Their sight and insight.

Those who defy reason, eventually lose their perceptual and conceptual faculties.

Allah is the Powerful Designer of His laws and He has supreme control over all things.

*He has prescribed laws for every thing and event in the Universe. And He does not infringe upon these laws even though He is Able to do so.

2:201:And some of them say: "Our Lord, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and spare us from the retribution of the Fire."

6:96:Initiator of the morning and Maker of the night to reside in; and the sun and the moon for counting.They become means of calculating time for you (10:5). Such is the Design of the All-Powerful, the Knower.

7:182:And those who deny Our revelations, We lead them step by step to ruin from directions they do not know.

10:5: He is the One Who appointed the sun as a splendid glow, and the moon as a cool light. He appointed stages for the moon, in due measure. You make your calculations and calendars accordingly. Allah has created the Universe as the absolute reality and for a purpose. Allah explains His verses for those who wish to learn.

11:15: Whoever cares for the short term gains and glitter of the worldly life, We shall repay for them their deeds herein without the least reduction. [17:18]

13:8: Allah knows what every female bears, and what every womb releases or gains. Everything has a due measure with Him.

14:16: From behind him is Hell, and he will be poured from a putrid water.

17:18:Those who desire only the quick gains of this life, We readily grant them from it according to Our laws, to those whom We will. In the end, We have appointed for them Hell. They will endure its heat, condemned and rejected.

25:2: The One to whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and He did not take a son, and He does not have any partner in kingship. And He created everything and measured it precisely.

29:54:They hasten you for the retribution; while Hell surrounds the rejecters.

30:24: And among His signs is this: He displays before you the lightning, for a fear and for hope, and sends down water from the height, giving life to the earth after it had been lifeless. Herein are signs for people who use their intellect.

36:38: And the sun runs to a specific destination, such is the design of the Noble, the Knowledgeable.

42:20: Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We will increase for him his harvest. And whoever seeks the harvest of this world, We will give him therefrom, and he will have no share in the Hereafter.

54:49:We have created all things in due measure and proportion

65:3:And He will provide for him whence he never expected. Anyone who puts his trust in Allah, then He suffices him. The commands of Allah will be done. Allah has decreed for everything its fate.

79:36:And the Insurmountable Barrier will stand before him to see.

87:3:And the One who measured and then guided.

Those who reject the Divine messages and rely solely on their intellect do not realize that revelation is to the human intellect what sunlight is to the human eye. It takes them out of darkness into light.

2:257: Allah is the Protecting Friend of those who choose to have conviction in Him and His laws. He brings them out of darkness into Light (through the Qur’an). And those who reject the truth, their patrons are false authorities (idols, religious leaders and satanic humans). They bring them from light to darkness. As a consequence, they have chosen fire to be their companion. They will abide therein.]

2:21 O people, serve your Rabb who has created you and those before you that you may be righteous.

[7:172. When your Rabb brought forth generations in succession from the Children of Adam, and made them bear witness, “Am I not your Rabb?” They said, “Yes, we bear witness.” Thus you cannot say on the Resurrection Day, “We were not aware of this.”

Min Zuhoorihim = From their posterity = In succession = Their seed = One generation following another. The uninterrupted survival of mankind is a telling witness for them that there is an Almighty Rabb Who nourishes the universe.]

2:22 The One who has made the earth a resting place, and over it like a canopy, and He sent down from the sky water with which He brought out fruits as a gift to you. So do not set up any equals with Allah while you know.

[Indeed, there are ample signs in the creation of the heavens and earth, the alternation of the night and the day, the ships that roam the ocean for the benefit of mankind, the water that Allah sends down from the heights, thereby giving life to the land after it had been lifeless, in dispersing a great variety of creatures therein, in the currents of winds and the clouds made subservient between the high atmosphere and the earth. All these are clear signs for those who use their intellect.

Einstein correctly pointed out, “The Universe is too organized to be the result of an accident.” See 6:73. Sama = Sky = Heaven = Atmosphere = Canopy = Height. 35:27]

2:23 And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then bring a chapter like this, and call upon your witnesses other than Allah if you are truthful.

[Bring some chapters of comparable merit that even come close to it in magnificence, eloquence, grandeur and wisdom.* *10:38. Or, do they say, “He has invented it”? Tell them, "Bring one Surah like this and call for help everyone you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.”

 11:13. Or they assert, “He has forged it.” Say to them, "Then bring Ten Surahs like this, forged, and call on whomever you can other than Allah - if you are truthful!"

 17:88.Say, “If all mankind, in towns and villages, get together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they will not be able to produce the like of it, no matter how much help they give one another."]

2:24 And if you cannot do this; and you will not be able to do this; then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, it has been prepared for the rejecters.

[This fire is generated in and engulfs the hearts.

2:74. Then your hearts became hardened after that, they became like stone or even harder; but even from stone there are rivers that burst forth, and from them are those that crack so that the water comes forth, and from them are what descends from concern towards Allah; and Allah is not unaware of what you do.

9:110. Their buildings that they built continue to cause doubt in their hearts, until their hearts are severed. And Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

66:6.O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones. Guarding it are stern and powerful angels who do not disobey Allah in what He commanded them; and they carry out what they are commanded to.

104:6. The kindled Fire of Allah.

Hajar = Stone = Rock = A stone-hearted person = Elite leadership = An apparently tough, prominent man = The hard or high segment of a hill]

2:25 And give good news to those who believe and do good works that they will have estates with rivers flowing beneath them. Every time they receive a provision of its fruit, they say: "This is what we have been provisioned before," and they are given its likeness. And there they will have pure mates, and in it they will abide.

[This Paradise is not given away as charity. It has to be built in this life and then inherited. It has been described in the Qur’an allegorically and it is not confined to one particular place. It encompasses the entire Universe and is a logical consequence of living upright and contributing to the well-being of humanity. 

3:133: And race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise whose width encompasses the width of the heavens and of the earth; it has been prepared for the righteous.

13:35. Theexample of the Paradise which the righteous are promised, is that rivers flow beneath it, and its provisions are continuous as is its shade. Such is the abode of those who were righteous, while the abode of the rejecters is the Fire.

14:24. Have you not seen how Allah puts forth the example that a good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky.

24:55. Allah  promises those among you who believe and do good works, that He will make them successors on the earth, as He made successors of those before them, and He will enable for them their system which He has approved for them, and He will substitute security for them in place of fear: "That they serve Me, not setting up anything with Me." And as for those who reject after that, these are the wicked.

32:17. No person knows what is being hidden for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do.

39:74. And they said: "Praise be to Allah has fulfilled His promise to us, and He made us inherit the land, enjoying the Paradise as we please. What a beautiful recompense for the workers!"

47:15. Is the example of the Paradise; that the righteous have been promised with rivers of pure water, and rivers of milk whose taste does not change, and rivers of alcohol that are delicious for the drinkers, and rivers of strained honey, and for them in it are all kinds of fruits, and a forgiveness from their Lord; like that of those who abide in the Fire, and are given to drink boiling water that cuts-up their intestines?

57:21. You shall race towards forgiveness from your Rabb, and a Paradise whose width is as the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. Such is the grace of Allah that He bestows upon whoever He wills. Allah is the Possessor of Infinite Grace.

76:5.As for the pious, they will drink from a cup with the scent of musk.

76:17.And they are given to drink in it from a cup which has the scent of ginger.]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 16 - 19

2:16 These are the ones who have purchased straying with guidance; their trade did not profit them, nor were they guided.*

[Note: Muhtadi = Guided = He who journeys in the right direction]

2:17 Their example is like the one who lights a fire, so when it illuminates what is around him, Allah takes away his light and leaves him in the darkness not seeing.

2:18 Deaf, dumb and blind of reason! They will not return to journey in the right direction.

[8:22: The worst creatures with God are the deaf and dumb who do not comprehend.*

16:76: And Allah puts forth the example of two men, one of them is mute and he cannot achieve anything, and he is a burden to his guardian. Wherever he points him, he does not come with any good. Is he the same as one who orders good and he is upon a straight path?*

17:36:And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of; for the hearing, eyesight, and heart - all these you are responsible for that.]

2:19.  Or like a storm cloud from the sky, in it is darkness and thunder and lightning. They place their fingers in their ears from the thunder-claps for fear of death; and Allah is aware of the rejecters.

[Plugging the ears will not make the storm disappear since denial is no solution to any problem. His changeless laws are implemented in the Universe without any exceptions and none can escape them.

7:183: I give them respite to them. Indeed my plan is firm.

14:8. Moses said, “If you deny the truth and show ingratitude, you and all on earth together, know that Allah is absolutely Free of want, Worthy of all praise.”

29:54. They keep asking you to hasten the punishment. And indeed, Hell will surely encompass the disbelievers.

(79:36. Hell will be apparent to all who can see. (‘Jaheem’ = Insurmountable Barrier. He failed to prime his own ‘self’ for continued progress.

39:48:And will become apparent  to them  of evils works they had earned will be shown to them, and they will be surrounded by that which they used to mock.

82:16:And will not be absent from there.

30:24. And from His signs is that He shows you the lightning, giving you fear and hope, and He sends down water from the sky, and He revives the land with it after its death. In that are signs for a people who comprehend.]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQARAH 9 -15

 2:9. They wish to deceive Allah and those who have attained belief. But they deceive none but themselves and realize it not.

[Note: Since reason is a faculty that has to be exercised and they have forsaken it, they are little aware of what opportunity of personal development they are missing. They live in a state of denial.]

2:10. In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increases their disease. And for them is painful suffering, for, they lie to themselves.*

[Note: Their attitude reinforces itself according to the Law of Cause and Effect. The conflict between one’s word and action amounts to self-deception that has its own dire consequences.]

2:11 When it is said to them, “Do not cause disruption in the land”, they assert, “We are but reformers, setting things right.”

2:12. Nay, it is they who are the disrupters. But they fail to use reason.

[Note: They bring forth a common argument that they are acting in good faith and in accordance with their ‘conscience’. But conscience is only the "internalized society", a mental reflection of the values prevalent in a given environment.* *Therefore, it can never be a substitute for Divine revelation Wahi.

3:20: If they argue with you (O Messenger), tell them, “I have submitted to Allah; I and those who follow me.” Say to the People of the Scripture, and to those who have no Scripture, “Would you submit (to Allah)?” If they submit, then they have been guided but if they turn away, then your duty is only to convey the message. Allah is Seer of His servants.

5:79:They did not restrain one another from violating the Permanent Values. Evil was what they used to do.

9:67: The hypocrites, both men and women, are all of a kind. They enjoin the doing of what is wrong and forbid the doing of what is right, and withhold their hands from doing good. They have forgotten Allah, and so He deprives them of His grace. The hypocrites drift away from humanity.

(Note: ‘Allah forgetting them’ denotes that He is depriving them of His grace. Allah forgets nothing in the customary sense. Whoever forgets Allah, forgets himself and his honored stature of being a servant of the Rabb. 59:19)

24:21: O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Follow not the steps of satanic people in the community. Anyone who follows Satan’s footsteps should know that he advocates evil and vice. Had it not been for the favor of Allah, and His grace to you, none of you could have grown in goodness. Thus it is - but anyone can develop the ‘self’ (attain Self-actualization) by following God’s laws (given in the Qur’an). Allah is all Hearer, All Knower.]

2:13 And when it is said to them, “Acknowledge the truth as people have acknowledged”, they retort, "Shall we accept what the foolish accept?" Nay, it is they who are foolish. But they do not know.

[Note: Imaan = Belief = Conviction = Acceptance = Acknowledgement = Embracing the truth. ]

2:14 And when they meet those who have chosen to believe, they say, “We have attained belief.” But when they go away to their shayaateen (evil ones), they say, "We are with you. We were only mocking.”

2:15. Allah mocks them, and leaves them prolonged in their transgression.

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 7-8

 2:7 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their vision are covers. And for them is a great punishment .

[KhatmorTaba’ from Allah, seal on the hearts, is a natural consequence of one’s deeds.

Blind following, adamancy, being unjust due to selfish interests and arrogance render the human perception and reasoning unreceptive to Divine revelation.

Thus, one loses sensitivity and the ability to perceive reality. It is easy to see how damaging this fall from the high stature of humanity can be, a tremendous suffering that is built-in as the logical consequence of such attitude.

4:88. What is the matter with you that you are divided into two groups over the hypocrites, while Allah has regressed them for what they have earned? Can you guide anyone against Allah law? Do you seek to find a way of enlightenment for those who violate Allah laws of guidance?

17:46. And we place shields over their hearts, that they should not understand it, and a deafness in their ears. And if you mention your Rabb in the Qur'an alone, they run away turning their backs in aversion.

(NOTE: Those who do not acknowledge the hereafter with certainty will not understand the Quran, and they will claim that the Quran is difficult or even impossible to understand on its own.

54:17.And We made the Qur'an easy to remember. Are there any who want to learn?

54:40. We made the Quran easy to learn. Do any of you wish to learn?*

They wish to hear about their saints and ‘Imams’)

18:57. And who is more wicked than he who was reminded of the revelations of his Rabb but he turned away from them, and he forgot what his hands had done. We have made veils upon their hearts from understanding it, and a deafness in their ears. And if you invite them to the guidance, they will never be guided.

40:35. Those who dispute about the revelations of Allah without any authority that has come to them, it is greatly abhorred with God and with those who believe. Allah thus seals the hearts of every arrogant tyrant.

45:23. Have you seen the one who took his desire as his Allah, and Allah led him astray, despite his knowledge, and He sealed his hearing and his heart, and He made a veil on his eyes? Who then can guide him after Allah ? Will you not remember?

[Note: 17:36. And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of; for the hearing, eyesight, and heart - all these you are responsible for.

32:9. Then He evolved him, and blew into him from His Spirit. And He made for you the hearing, the eyesight, and the hearts; rarely are you thankful.

46:26. And We had established them in the same way as We established you, and provided them with hearing, and eyesight, and hearts. But their hearing, eyesight, and hearts did not help them at all. This is because they used to disregard the revelations of Allah, and they will be surrounded by that which they used to mock.

83:14. No,a covering has been placed on their hearts for what they have earned.]

2:8 And from the people are those who say: "We believe in Allah and in the Last Day," but they are not believers.

[Their actions that speak louder than words, contradict their claim.

4:136. O you who believe; believe in Allah and His messenger, and the Book which was sent down to His messenger, and the Book which was sent before. And whoever rejects Allah, and His angels, and His Books, and His messengers, and the Last Day; then he has strayed a far straying.

Note the believers being called to belief! 2:8, 2:177. Piety is not to turn your faces towards the east and the west, but pious is one who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Book, and the prophets, and who gives money out of love to the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to free the slaves; and who upholds the contact prayer, and who contributes towards purification; and those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in the face of adversity and hardship and when in despair. These are the ones who have been truthful, and these are the righteous.

49:15.  Believers are those who believe in Allah and His messenger, then they became without doubt, and they strive with their money and their lives in the cause of Allah. These are the truthful ones.

The wishful thinking of being Muslims or believers ‘by birth’ carries no weight in the Sight of Allah,

2:62. Surely those who believe; and those who are Jewish, and the Nazarenes, and the Sabians, whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good works; they will have their recompense with their Rabb, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH 5-6

 2:5 These are the ones guided by their Rabb, and these are the successful ones.

[Muflihoon from Fallaah = Farmer who ploughs the earth for seeding and gets an abundant crop in return.

Huda minr-Rabb = The Rabb light = This Qur’an to which one must turn with an open mind.

Those who approach it without clearing their minds of pre-conceived notions will fail to “touch” this Book.

For, that frame of mind defies reason and logic.

4:88. What is the matter with you that you are divided into two groups over the hypocrites, while Allah has regressed them for what they have earned? Do you want to guide those whom ALLAH astray? Whoever ALLAH causes to be astray, you will never find for him a path.*

5:15. O people of the Book,  Surely our messenger has come to you to clarify for you much of what you were hiding from the Book, and to pardon over much. A light has come to you from ALLAH and a clear Book.*

*23:1. Indeed, successful are the believers.*

*24:35. Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which there is a lamp, the lamp is encased in a glass, the glass is like a radiant planet, which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither of the east nor of the west, its oil nearly gives off light even if not touched by fire. Light upon light, Allah guides to His light whom He pleases. And Allah sets forth examples for the people, and Allah is aware of all things.

(Note: Advisory’ in 24:34 = Allah Light = Divinely originated Light = Divine Revelation = The Qur'an. 5:15, 20:51, 41:42, 42:52.

31:2. These are the signs of the Book full of wisdom.

42:5. The heavens would nearly shatter from above them, and the angels praise the glory of their Rabb, and they ask forgiveness for those on the earth. Surely, Allah is the oft- Forgiving, the Most Merciful.*

( Note: Malaekah = Angels = Forces in Nature.

*Yastaghfirun = They help protect like a helmet protects the head.

*Sabh = Swim in strides = Doing one’s best)*

56:79. *None can grasp it except those purified.]

2:6 As for those who reject, whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.

2:89-109.

And when a Book came to them from Allah, authenticating what is with them; while before that they were mocking those who rejected; so when what they knew came to them, they rejected it! The curse of Allah be upon the rejecters.

Miserable indeed is what they purchase with their souls, that they disbelieve in what Allah has sent down as a resentment that Allah would send down from His grace to whom He pleases of His servants; thus they have incurred wrath upon wrath. And the rejecters will have a humiliating retribution.

And if it is said to them: "Believe in what Allah has sent down;" they say: "We believe only in what was sent down to us," and they reject what came after it, while it is the truth authenticating what is with them. Say: "Why then did you kill the prophets of Allah if you were believers?"

And Moses had come to you with clear proofs, then you took the calf after him; you were wicked!

And We took your covenant, and raised the mount above you: "Take what We have given you with strength, and listen." They said: "We hear and disobey!" And they had consumed the calf inside their hearts by their disbelief. Say: "Miserable indeed is what your belief orders of you if you are believers!"

Say: "If the abode of the Hereafter has been set exclusively for you with Allah, to the exception of all other people, then you should wish for death if you are truthful!"

They will never wish for it because of what their hands have delivered; and Allah is aware of the wicked.

And you will find them the most obsessive people regarding longevity; even more than the polytheists; each one of them wishes that he could live a thousand years. It will not change for him the retribution even if he lived so long, Allah is watchful over what you do.

Say: "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel, then know that he has sent it down into your heart with the permission of Allah, authenticating what is with him, and a guide and good news for the believers."

"Whoever is an enemy to Allah  and His angels, and His messengers, and Gabriel, and Michael, then so Allah is the enemy to the disbelievers."

We have sent down to you clear revelations; only the wicked would disbelieve in them.

 Is it that each time they make a pledge, a group of them breaks it? Alas, most of them do not believe.

And when a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of God behind their backs as if they did not know.

And they followed what the devils recited regarding the kingship of Solomon. Solomon did not reject, but it was the devils who rejected by teaching people magic, and teaching them what was sent down on the two angels in Babylon, Haroot and Maroot. They did not teach anyone until they would say: "We are a test, so do not lose faith!" Thus they teach what can separate between a person and his mate; but they cannot harm anyone except with the permission of God. And they learn what harms them and does not benefit them, and they have known that he who purchases such has no place in the Hereafter. Miserable indeed is what they purchased with their souls if only they knew!

And had they believed and been righteous, it would have brought them a recompense with God which is far better if only they knew!

O you who believe, do not say: "Shepherd us," but say: "Be patient with us," and listen. For the rejecters is a painful retribution.

Neither do those who have rejected from among the people of the Book, nor from among the polytheists, wish that any good comes down to you from your Lord. But Allah chooses with His mercy whom He wishes; and from Allah is the greatest grace.

We do not duplicate a sign, or make it forgotten, unless We bring one which is like it or even greater. Did you not know that Allah is capable of all things?

Did you not know that to Allah is the kingship of the heavens and the earth, and that you do not have besides Allah any guardian or supporter?

Or do you want to ask your messenger as Moses was asked before? Whoever replaces belief with rejection, he has indeed strayed from the right path.

Many of the people of the Book have wished that they could return you to being rejecters after your believing, out of envy from their souls after the truth was made clear to them. You shall forgive them and overlook until Allah brings His will. God is capable of all things.

6:26. And they prohibit others from it, and keep away themselves from it; but they will only destroy themselves, yet they do not notice.

27:14. And they rejected them, while their souls knew, out of transgression and arrogance. So see how it ended for the wicked.

35:42-43. And they swore by Allah in their strongest oaths, that if a warner came to them, they would be the most guided of all nations, but when a warner came to them, it only increased their aversion!

Arrogance on the earth, and evil scheming. And the evil schemes only backfire on those who scheme them. Were they expecting anything different from the ways used on the people of the past? You will not find any change in the way of Allah, and you will not find any bypass to the way of Allah.

36:70. To warn those who are alive, and so that the retribution will be deserved by the rejecters.

41:26. And those who rejected said: "Do not listen to this Qur'an and make noise over it that you may succeed."

47:32. Those who have rejected and repelled from the path of Allah, and stood against the messenger; after the guidance has been made clear for them; they will not harm Allah in the least, and He will nullify their works.]

CHAPTER 2 SURAH BAQRAH VERSE 3 - 4

2:3 Those who  believe in the Unseen, and establish the System of Salaat, and from Our provisions to them they spend.

[Establishing Salaat = The System in which Permanent Moral Values rule the hearts and minds of men and women. There are neither masters nor subjects in such a system, since therein prevails the Rule of Law.

2:177. It is NOT to TURN YOUR faces TOWARDS the EAST and the WEST, but PIOUS IS ONE WHO BELIEVES in ALLAH and the LAST DAY, and the ANGELS, and the BOOK, and the PROPHETS, and WHO GIVES MONEY OUT of LOVE to the RELATIVES, and the ORPHANS, and the NEEDY, and the WAYFARER, and THOSE WHO ASK, and to FREE the SLAVES; and WHO UPHOLDS the ESTABLISH SALAT, and WHO CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS PURIFICATION(ZAKAT); and those who KEEP their pledges when they make a PLEDGE, and those WHO are PATIENT in the FACE of ADVERSITY and HARDSHIP and WHEN in DESPAIR. 

THESE ARE the ONES WHO HAVE BEEN TRUTHFUL, and THESE ARE the RIGHTEOUS.

22:41. Those WHOM, if WE ALLOW THEM to have AUTHORITY in the LAND, THEY HOLD the ESTABLISH SALAT , and they CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS PURIFICATION, and THEY ENJOIN the RIGHT and FORBID the WRONG. And to ALLAH is the CONCLUSION of all MATTERS.

94:7. So, WHENEVER you are FREE from the IMMEDIATE TASK, THEN LABOR HARD.

Al-Ghayeb = The Unseen: The likeness of a seed that is beneath the soil hidden from a farmer’s view. 

Yet the farmer believes that given proper environment and care the seed will sprout. 

[9:119. O YOU WHO BELIEVE FEAR ALLAH and BE WITH THOSE WHO ARE TRUTHFUL.

57:20. KNOW that THIS WORLDLY LIFE is NO MORE THAN PLAY and DISTRACTION and ADORNMENTS, and BOASTING AMONG YOU, and to INCREASE in WEALTH and CHILDREN. It is LIKE PLANTS THAT are SUPPLIED by an ABUNDANT RAIN, which APPEAR PLEASING to the REJECTERS. But THEN THEY DRY-UP and TURN YELLOW, then BECOMES HAY. And HEREAFTER SEVERE PUNISHMENT and FORGIVENESS FROM ALLAH PLEASURE. But THIS WORLDLY LIFE is NO MORE THAN a DECEIVING ENJOYMENT.

89:27. "O YOU SOUL! WHO is SATISFIED.

SALAAT = To follow closely, like a runner-up Musalli follows the winning horse Saabiq =Follow God’s commands closely.

AQIMUSSALLAT = Establish the System that facilitates the following of Divine Commands.

 ZAKAAT = The Just Economic Order where everyone works according to one’s capacity and is compensated according to the needs. 

People spend on others or give to the Central Authority Islamic government whatever is surplus 2:219.

2:219.They ASK YOU ABOUT ALCOHOL and GAMBLING. Say: "In THEM is GREAT SIN, and a BENEFIT for the PEOPLE; BUT THEIR SIN is GREATER THAN THEIR BENEFIT." And they ASK YOU HOW MUCH THEY are to GIVE, say: "THE SURPLUS." Thus MAKE CLEAR ALLAH to YOU the VERSES so THAT YOU MAY THINK.

And they do so whenever they earn any income 6:141. 

The SYSTEM of ZAKAAT is MANAGED by the CENTRAL AUTHORITY that ENSURES the DEVELOPMENT of the INDIVIDUALS and the SOCIETY. 

The 2.5 PERCENT ANNUAL MANDATORY CHARITY is a NON-QUR’ANIC concept that trivializes the comprehensive Qur’anic SYSTEM of ZAKAAT. Also, the PROBLEMS of FIQH MINOR but CONFUSING and CONTRADICTORY jurisprudential DETAILS ABOUT WHAT and WHO are EXEMPT and WHAT and WHO are NOT EXEMPT etc, MAKE the MAN-MADE ZAKAAT an ABSOLUTE IMPOSSIBILITY. 

For example, a MAN with an OUNCE of GOLD SHOULD NOT PAY ZAKAAT, but a POOR MAN with 52.5 ounces of SILVER, the VALUE of which is less than 10% of the FORMER INSTANCE, MUST PAY! NO WONDER,

2:4 And THOSE WHO BELIEVE in WHAT WAS SENT DOWN to YOU, and what was SENT DOWN BEFORE YOU, and REGARDING the HEREAFTER THEY are CERTAIN.

[2:185. The MONTH of RAMADHAN, in which the QUR'AN was REVEALED; as a GUIDE to the PEOPLE and CLARITIES from the GUIDANCE and the CRITERION. 

6:73. And HE is the ONE Who HAS CREATED the HEAVENS and EARTH with a DEFINITE PURPOSE. Whenever HE SAYS “BE!” it is. HIS WORD is the TRUTH. And His will be the DOMINION on the DAY the TRUMPET  is BLOWN. KNOWER of the INVISIBLE and the VISIBLE, for, HE is the WISE, the AWARE.

7:52. We HAVE GIVEN THEM a BOOK of KNOWLEDGE that EXPLAINS the GUIDANCE in FULL DETAIL. It is a MERCY for THOSE WHO ACCEPT IT.

7:157. "THOSE WHO FOLLOW the GENTILE MESSENGER PROPHET whom THEY FIND WRITTEN for THEM in the TORAH and the INJEEL; he ORDERS THEM to KINDNESS, and prohibits them from vice, and he MAKES LAWFUL for THEM the GOOD THINGS, and HE MAKES UNLAWFUL for them the EVIL THINGS, and HE REMOVES their BURDEN and the SHACKLES that are upon them. So THOSE WHO BELIEVE in HIM, and SUPPORT HIM, and help him persevere, and follow the light that was sent down with him; THESE are the SUCCESSFUL ONES."

10:4. To Him is YOUR RETURN, ALL OF YOU, for the PROMISE of ALLAH IS TRUE. He initiates the creation then He returns it; to RECOMPENSE with JUSTICE THOSE who HAVE BELIEVED and have DONE GOOD WORKS. As for THOSE who HAVE REJECTED, they WILL HAVE a BOILING DRINK, and a PAINFUL RETRIBUTION for WHAT THEY HAD REJECTED.

21:10. WE HAVE SENT DOWN to you a BOOK in WHICH is YOUR REMEMBRANCE. Do YOU NOT REASON?

21:24. Or have THEY TAKEN GOD BESIDES HIM? Say: "BRING YOUR PROOF. THIS IS a REMINDER of THOSE WITH ME and a REMINDER THOSE BEFORE ME." But, MOST OF THEM DO NOT KNOW the TRUTH, so THEY TURN AWAY FROM IT.

40:11. THEY WILL SAY, "OUR RABB, TWICE You HAVE MADE us DIE, just as TWICE YOU HAVE MADE us LIVE. But now WE CONFESS that we did TRAIL BEHIND in MAKING PROGRESS. Is there ANY WAY OUT of THIS.

45:4. And in YOUR CREATION, and what CREATURES He puts FORTH are SIGNS for PEOPLE WHO are CERTAIN.

67:2. The ONE WHO HAS CREATED DEATH and LIFE, that HE MAY TEST YOU, WHICH of YOU WILL DO BETTER WORKS? He is the All Mighty, the oft- Forgiving.]
