QURANIC VERSES AGAINST THE HADITH

CAN THE HADITH BE USED AS ISLAMIC LAW?

Many Muslims believe that the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad can be used as Islamic law. However, God says in the Quran that following any law besides the Quran is forbidden.

أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلًا

Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail? … (6:114 part)

These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement (hadith) after Allah and His verses will they believe? (45:6)

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Then in what statement after it (the Qur’an) will they believe? (77:50)

What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge? Or do you have a book / scripture in which you learn that indeed for you in it is whatever you choose? (68:36–38)

CONCLUSION

These verses make it very clear that the only source by which to judge according to Islam is the Quran and nothing else. God even specifically questions why people would believe in any hadith after the Quran has been revealed.

The BEST HADITH is ALLAH HADITH

Many Muslims believe this hadith or that hadith of the Prophet Muhammad is the best hadith. However, God says in the Quran that God’s own hadith (the Quran) is the best.

اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابًا مُّتَشَابِهًا مَّثَانِيَ …

Allah has sent down the BEST STATMENT (AHSAN HADITH): a CONSISTENT BOOK WHEREIN is REITERATION. … (39:23 part)

CONCLUSION

This verse makes it VERY CLEAR that the Quran, which is the WORD (STATEMENT / SAYING) of ALLAH, is the BEST HADITH that is consistent and WITHOUT CONTRADICTION.

As such, WHY WOULD ANYONE CHOOSE to FOLLOW an INFERIOR SAYING (hadith) such as the HADITH COMPILED by BUKHARI, MUSLIM, and OTHERS, MANY of WHICH CONTAIN CONTRADICTIONS?

IS THE QURAN INCOMPLETE SUCH THAT WE NEED THE HADITH?

MANY MUSLIMS BELIEVE that the HADITH of the PROPHET MUHAMMAD is NECESSARY to COMPLETE the QURAN.

However, ALLAH says in the QURAN that the QURAN is COMPLETE (6:115, 6:38).

And the word of your RABB has been FULFILLED / COMPLETED in TRUTH and in JUSTICE. NONE CAN ALTER HIS WORDS, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. (6:115)

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings EXCEPT [that they are] COMMUNITIES like you. WE HAVE NOT NEGLECTED in the BOOK (Quran) a thing. Then unto their RABB THEY will be GATHERED. (6:38)

CONCLUSION

These VERSES make it VERY CLEAR that the QURAN is COMPLETE. ALLAH even specifically says that He DID NOT NEGLECT ANYTHING FROM THE QUR'AN.

To ARGUE that the QURAN ISN'T ’t COMPLETE because, for example, it DOESN'T ’t DETAIL HOW to PRAY the WAY MUSLIMS CURRENTLY PRAY is no DIFFERENT than saying that MUSLIMS DONT ’t BELIEVE EVERYTHING that ALLAH SAYS in the QURAN. (Below, it will be proven that the details of prayer were given to Abraham and passed down thru the generations . Praying did not begin with Muhammad). Since Muslims must believe everything in the Quran, Muslims therefore must genuinely believe and accept the fact that the Quran is complete. Furthermore, since God is Perfect, it would make no sense to believe that the Quran is incomplete as if God was too busy to finish authoring it.

IS THE QURAN NOT FULLY DETAILED SUCH THAT WE NEED THE HADITH?

Many Muslims believe that the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad is necessary to provide details that are missing from the Quran. However, God says in the Quran that the Quran is fully detailed of all things.

There was certainly in their STORIES a LESSON for THOSE of UNDERSTANDING. NEVER was the QURAN ’AN a NARRATION INVENTED, but a CONFIRMATION of WHAT WAS BEFORE it and a DETAILED EXPLANATION of all THINGS and GUIDANCE and MERCY for a PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE. (12:111)

كِتَابٌ فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

A Book WHOSE VERSES have been DETAILED, an ARABIC QURAN ’an for a PEOPLE WHO KNOW, (41:3)

الر ۚ كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِيرٍ

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a BOOK WHOSE VERSES are PERFECTED and then PRESENTED in DETAIL FROM [one who is] WISE and ACQUAINTED. (11:1)

CONCLUSION

These verses make it very clear that the QURAN is DETAILED. ALLAH even specifically says that it is “a DETAILED EXPLANATION of ALL THINGS.”

TO ARGUE that the QURAN ISN'T  DETAILED BECAUSE,

 for example,

IT DOESN'T ’t DETAIL HOW TO PRAY the WAY MUSLIMS CURRENTLY PRAY is NO DIFFERENT THAN SAYING that MUSLIMS DON'T ’ BELIEVE EVERYTHING that ALLAH SAYS IN THE QURAN.

SINCE MUSLIMS MUST BELIEVE EVERYTHING in the QURAN, MUSLIMS THEREFORE MUST GENUINELY BELIEVE and ACCEPT the FACT THAT the QURAN IS DETAILED.

THE WORD OF HIJAB IN THE QURAN

THE WORD "HIJAB"' IN ISLAMIC PRACTICE VS ITS USE IN THE QURAN

Hijab is the term used by many Muslim women today to describe their head cover.

The Arabic word 'hijab' literally means barrier or veil. Other meanings for the word 'hijab' include, screen, cover(ing), mantle, curtain, drapes, partition, division, divider, barrier.

THE WORD HIJAB' IS USED in 7 QURANIC VERSES.

THE VERSES ARE: 7:46, 33:53, 38:32, 41:5, 42:51, 17:45 and 19:17.

None of these occurrences of the word 'hijab' mean a head cover for women.

فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ

faisaloohunna min warai hijabin

And when ye ask of them (the wives of the Prophet) anything, ask it of them from behind a curtain.

The term Hijab, which means to "hide" or "separate", which you will see in all the verse which mention it.

MANIPULATION of 24:31

And say to the believing women to lower their gaze and to guard their private parts, and not to show their beauty spots except that of it which is normally shown. They shall also cover their cleavage with their 'khimars'.24:31

The starting point for this inquiry is to address the following questions:

1- Do we see the Arabic words 'shaar' (hair) or  (head) in 24:31?

The Answer is no.

2- Are there any words in 24:31, or anywhere in the Quran, which address women with the words 'cover your hair' or 'cover your head'?

The answer once again is no.

The Arabic word khimar means cover. Any cover is a khimar. A curtain is a khimar, a table cloth that covers the top of a table is a khimar, a blanket can be called a khimar and so on. Equally, an item of clothing, be it a dress, a blouse, a scarf or any other item of clothing can be called a khimar, because it covers the body. The word khamr, which is used in the Quran for intoxicants, has the same root as khimar. Khamr (intoxicants) is given that name since it covers the mind.

Traditional translators, influenced by hadith and culture, claim that khimar in 24:31 has only one meaning, and that is veil or hijab! As a result, they mislead women into believing that 24:31 commands them to cover their hair!

The fact that the word khimar can mean any cover, and not just head cover, is a matter which can be verified by consulting any Arabic dictionary.

In 24:31 God is telling women to use their khimar (cover/garment), which could be a dress, a coat, a shawl, a blouse, a scarf and so on to cover their cleavage/bosoms.

The command in 24:31, regardless of the meaning of the word khimar, is to cover the bosom and not to cover the hair.

Is there a command in 24:31 for women to cover their hair?

As mentioned, the words 'head' and 'hair' are not found in 24:31. In addition, the word 'hair' is not found anywhere in the Quran.

It makes little sense to claim that God made it compulsory for women to cover a part of their body (hair), yet that part of the body is not mentioned anywhere in the Quran!

The law of God in the Quran is given in clear straightforward words. The Quran does not have any crookedness or ambiguity:

An Arabic Quran without any crookedness so that hopefully they may be reverent. 39:28

If God had made it a law for women to cover their hair, and that they will be accountable on the Day of Judgement to obeying such a law, God would have without any doubt said: 'cover your hair'.

The law in 24:31 = cover the cleavage

The tool = with the khimar

The Quran, as always, provided us with all the evidence and clues we needed to better understand the meaning of what is "normally shown".

God knows that there would come a time when Muslims will use the word 'hijab' to invent a dress code that God Himself never authorised. God used the word 'hijab' ahead of them just as He used the word 'hadith' ahead of them (45:6).

HISTROLICAL BACKGROUND

While many Muslims call 'hijab' an Islamic dress code, they are in fact oblivious of the fact that the concept of 'hijab' has nothing to do with Islam, nor with the Quran.

In fact, the 'hijab' is an old Jewish tradition that infiltrated the hadith books like many innovations that contaminated Islam through the hadith. Any student of Jewish traditions would know that the head cover for the Jewish woman is encouraged by the rabbis and religious leaders.

Religious Jewish women still cover their heads most of the time, especially in the synagogues, at weddings and religious festivities.

This Jewish tradition is a cultural not a religious one. Hijab was observed by women of the civilisations that preceded the Jews and was passed down to the Jewish culture.

Some Christian women cover their heads on many religious occasions while the nuns cover their heads all the time.

The tradition of covering the head was practiced thousands of years before Muslim scholars claimed the 'hijab' as a Muslim dress code.

The traditional Arabs, of all religions, Jews, Christians and Muslims used to wear 'hijab', not because of Islam, but because of tradition.

In Saudi Arabia for example, all men cover their heads, not because of Islam but because of tradition.

North Africa is known for its Tribe (Tuareg) that have the Muslim men wearing 'hijab' instead of women. Here the tradition has the 'hijab' in reverse. *If wearing 'hijab' is the sign of the pious and righteous Muslim woman, Mother Teresa would have been the first woman to be counted.

In brief, 'hijab' is a traditional dress and has nothing to do with Islam or religion. In certain areas of the world, men are the ones who wear the 'hijab' while in others the women do.

Mixing religion with tradition is a form of idol-worship since it implies setting up other sources of religious laws besides the law of God.

HIJAB & NIQAB IN THE QUR'AN

The Qur'an is the revelation from the Almighty, the All-Wise, Who created human beings both men and women in His infinite knowledge and might.

The Qur'an showed the right path in all matters to generations that went before, as it continues to do to those present today. However, to understand the Qur'an and what Allah expects of us, we must look at the Qur'an itself.

Since the Qur'an is the Book sent down by the creator of human beings, Allah, we logically follow that Allah has laid all His commandments and way of life in the Qur'an compatible with the way He has created human beings and their nature. For example, Allah has made people as male and female to be together and has decreed the system of marriage in religion for them to come together. Or for example, Allah has designed the human tongue with thousands of taste buds, then created fruits of various kinds to be suitable for tasting them using our tongues - he has permitted us to enjoy taste of all the permissible food so long as we show thanks in return. He does not forbid the use of the tongue while having created to perform a feature or he does not forbid men and women to enjoy intimacy having created them in two genders in need of one another.*

Allah has created human beings outer appearance to be pleasing to behold.

This applies to both men and women. We do not find human beings repulsive.

This is so that when we speak with each others as human beings, we find it comfortable to interact. Imagine human beings on earth were created with hideous appearances - this is possible by Allah - undoubtedly, we would find it repulsive to be with one another...difficult to communicate with each other, hold conferences, be friends etc.

This is not a matter of good looks, rather a natural human appearance which is inherently pleasant in all humans.

Allah draws mankind's attention to this important fact in His verses as follows;👇

"(People), do you not see how Allah has made what is in the heavens and the earth useful to you, and has lavished His blessings on you both outwardly and inwardly?" (Qur'an 31:20)

In another verse:

"Children of Adam, take your adornment / pleasantness to every Mosque." (Qur'an 7:31)

Where "Children of Adam" includes both men and women. This humanly pleasantness in everyone Allah speaks of is something for us to thank Allah by and appreciate in all human beings, both men and women.

Over the centuries, in the name of Islam, some of the most concealed ways of dressing has been suggested for 'Muslim' women by clergy, who consist mostly of men.

According to them, the "best" way of dressing for a woman involves, in their chosen words, to appear as a black "crow", concealing every part of her including the face, eyes, hands and feet in black drape. In this way, even the simplest shape or form of a human being's appearance is taken away from a woman and she is reduced to a 'mere shadow'.

UNDERSTANDING THE WAY ALLAH CREATED THE HAMAN*👭🏻/👬

The human body is a miraculous act of creation by Allah. Every function of the body is placed through superior wisdom. The human body has five primary senses to interact with the world.

These are:

1️⃣ VISION

2️⃣HEARING

3️⃣ SMELL

4️⃣TASTE

5️⃣ TOUCH

Each of these senses have unique sensing devices that are especially designed to accomplish their respective sensing functions. Sense of touch is done by the skin on every part of our bodies. The sensors for vision, hearing, smell and taste are all concentrated on one particular place, the human head.

This is for an important reason. The reason being solely the fact that the head is intended by Allah to be exposed to the environment.

All organs that requires to be fully exposed to the environment are strategically placed on the head so that it can work at its best performance without hindrance.

In the creation of the human, Allah intended the human head to be completely unobstructed in order for all the systems to function optimally.

THE EYES

Light rays from reflecting scenery are to fall on the eye through an unobstructed passage in order to perceive the true intensity and the colour of the scenery. A barrier would block light. This is an important reason why the eyes are on the head, since the head is expected to be left uncovered.

MOUTH & NOSE - BREATHING

The exhaled breath contains a relative humidity of 100% - that is, it is highly moisture rich. This moisture as well as heat has to diffuse into the surrounding environment and not get trapped, if it does, then heat and moisture would cause discomfort on the skin. This is a reason why nose and mouth are again placed by Allah on the head, so that an unobstructed passage is maintained with the environment, allowing diffusion of heat and moisture optimally.

THE EARS

The pinna (outer ear) which is visible on every person is a special acoustic device. Its purpose is to gather sound waves, amplify and direct it to the eardrum (Tympanic membrane), as well as to help "localise" the sound that arrives there (to help determine the direction the sound is coming from). It is obviously intended to be in an unobstructed location. Its performance deteriorates when it is obstructed by anything - both localisation and amplification. Once again, this is why the ear is located along with the eyes, nose and mouth which require a clear passage to the surrounding to work optimally.

Allah placed the outer ear in such a location so that it can be left unobstructed.

Obstructing it reduces the quality of its functioning.

MOUTH & NOSE - SPEECH

The voice box produces speech sound that emanates from the mouth. Not only does the mouth need to be exposed for adequate heat and moisture diffusion from breathing, vocal sound originating from there need an unobstructed path to reach the target without attenuating or sounding muffled to any degree, thus the location from which sound is produced is also on the head.

EATING

To eat, there cannot be an obstruction in front of the intake. Thus, the eating channel, the mouth, is located here along with the rest that need open space.

Imagine if our mouth and nose was placed on our chest which women do need to cover, it would be difficult to breath over the shirt / dress, difficult to eat, and our voice would sound not as clear as it does now!

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS

Human face One amazing manifestation of Allah's power is how He manages to place the sensors for all the above functions needed by the human, on the human head, yet make it a seamless work of perfect art. Not at all, does one need to wonder that these are individual sensors, rather the whole face looks like beautiful continuous artwork.

One of the most important features of the human head is this overall work of art: the face itself as an own entity. This work of art is designed to be a communications device. Underneath the face, lies hundreds of muscles which are capable of making countless expressions that convey the emotional state of the person. When speaking to a person, the human face continuously changes to convey important information such as acknowledgement of a message understood, confusion, happiness, distress and the like.

Thus, the face is an important communications medium when speaking to someone, whether it be to a male or female. It is for this reason the human face serving this distinct purpose (yet consisting of eyes, mouth, nose and ears) is 'located' on the head. Because this way, not only are all sensory organs are free, so is the face. This again goes to proves that the human head, the entire head is designed and expected to be left uncovered in the blueprint, or master-plan of Allah. The hair is integral to this artwork, as we shall soon see how the appearance of a man's or a woman's hair is essential for basic human aesthetics.

Everything that has been said so far fully applies to both male and female, because the functions and systems of the head are identical in both men and women.

The eyes, nose, mouth and ears all require an exposed environment to work as designed, including the face, which is why Allah has placed them all on the head. This is why the head is 'designed' to be exposed and not covered. The functions are identical on both men and women, therefore women too require the head to always be free of obstruction.

UNDERSTANDING THE QURANIC VERSES

First of all, it must be understood on part of the thinking reader that the true religion of Allah is in full harmony with Allah's created mechanisms and intentions in nature.

In order for something to be a Quranic commandment, the command has to be in harmony with the designed functions of the Creator's design.

Therefore, in order for a dress to be a command of Allah, the expected senses that require exposure at all times cannot be concealed. Note that they do not stop functioning outdoors, they are in continuous use. Therefore, the expectation that the head is a part of the body that remains always exposed in the blue-print or master-plan of Allah, is valid for all times of the day (indoor or outdoor).

DOES THE QUR'AN COMMAND THE COVERING OF HAIR FOR WOMEN ("HIJAB")?*

The word "hijab" is never used in the Qur'an in the context of women's dress.

This word is used only in its general meaning of "barrier" in other contexts (eg. 17:45), but never in women's dress or modesty. Yet it has developed completely unique applications among the majority.

There is no use of the word 'hijab' in terms of women's dress in the Qur'an.

One part of a verse of the Qur'an has been attempted to be shown to command the covering of hair.

This is the 31st verse of Surah An-Nur quoted as follows:

وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ

(Qur'an 24:31)

"Tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts, and that they shall not flaunt their beauty except for what appears (naturally) from it, and let them put forth their covers over their cleavage." (Qur'an 24:31)

The portion used to mean cover the hair is the underlined portion above (وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِن َّ ).

It should be understood that the ordainment, or the commandment here is for a believing woman to cover her cleavage. It is not commanding her to cover her hair.

The word "hair" does not appear in the Arabic. The Arabic word translated as "covers" for the Arabic word خُمُرْ / 'khumur' (plural of 'khimar'), should be translated with due regards to several factors.

 These include:

1️⃣ The logical understanding on the nature in which Allah created the human head (ears need unobstructed passage for optimal performance, and hair on head is part of "natural" human pleasantness that we cannot do without {more later}).

2️⃣ The Arabic root for the word, shares meanings with more general "covering" or "concealment" and not just headscarf.

3️⃣ The immediate context within the verse, which is ordering the covering of the cleavage only (عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنّ), with no mention of hair (indicating the ordainment is not in the type of apparatus used, but in the covering of low neck-line). Even if it means 'headscarves' worn at the time, the command is not in the type of clothing used to cover the cleavage (headscarf), but to cover the cleavage. The usage of the word is determined by the readily available method at that instance, variable by other means in other parts of the world, or by any means such as a higher neck dress.

4️⃣ *It can be observed that men tend to cover all their chest and women reduce their neck-line in society in order to show-off feminine grace. Therefore, in order to tackle the common habit, a commandment to cover the cleavage area is a strong logical reason for the verse than the hair.

Therefore, it makes perfect sense to conclude that the intention of "وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِن َّ / and let them put forth their covers over their cleavage" is to order believing women to ensure the cleavage area is covered and not the hair.

The Quranic requirement for 'khimar' requires a believer to wear an adequately high neckline dress (etc.) according to her conscience.

Further Point on the Nature of Hair

In the beginning, we saw how men and women have been given a common natural pleasantness as human beings:

"Children of Adam, take your adornment / pleasantness to every Mosque." (Qur'an 7:31)

Human hair on a woman is part of her natural 'human' aesthetics or pleasantness.

Consider a bald woman, just how much this deteriorates her natural human aesthetics! Women's hair, therefore shares a function in common with men, by being part of a woman's natural human appearance and pleasant aesthetics.

That is why, although Allah classes generally all of woman's body as "zeena" / beauty, the hair however, is considered to be in the Quranic 'exception' in verse 24:31, 'except for what appears naturally from the zeena/beauty', in the portion, "they shall not flaunt their zeena/beauty except for what appears (naturally) from it (the zeena/beauty) / َّ إِلا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا.

OBLIGATING 'HIJAB' AND BEING GRATEFUL TO ALLAH FOR OUR DESIGN

Let us elaborate this point further. Assume for argument's sake, God forbid, you were born with a genetic abnormality and could not grow hair on your head. Your appearance without your hair would be ugly. During your childhood, you probably had to wear hats outdoors out of shame. As an adult (assuming you do not already cover your head for religious reasons), if you have to walk outside, you would be compelled to cover your head. You may complain to Allah why He has not given you hair to cover this hideous appearance and regret being forced to substitute the blessing of hair with a hat or a scarf. Yet, without having to experience this shame, Allah mercifully blesses you with hair, which acts like a hat to cover your ugliness. To say you must cover that very blessing without which you would complain to Allah for is ungratefulness to Allah. Allah has kindly listened to your complaint without you even complaining - "He has given you all that you asked Him for." (Qur'an 14:34). Allah mercifully blesses you with hair so that you have the 'completed human look' to be able to walk outside without feeling shameful about your appearance.

Hair is part of basic human aesthetics. It constitutes the minimum look of a human being that allows people to function in society. In addition however, believing women take pride in an 'additional' artistic design of Allah in which they have been created

Allah has designed women with a special gift in mind. He identifies this gift using the word 'zeena', a miraculous attribute that adds a unique beauty on top of the already pleasant human form common to a man. This is a general attribute in the design of the female body. Though women's hair is part of this 'zeena' / beauty gifted by Allah, it is part of which 'naturally appears' from a human and does not have to be covered. It is part of the exception in the following portion of the Quranic verse وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا ,  "they shall not flaunt their zeena/beauty 'except' *for what (naturally) appears from it".

The above fact of looking ugly and hideous without hair and that you would then be forced to cover your bald head to conceal this unsightfulness to function in society proves that hair is something which appears naturally on a human being, and thus part of the Quranic exception.

Your hair also performs the same function as a man's by giving you a humanly pleasantness. But its beauty as a woman can be seen by others, due to the part of the verse, "except for what appears (naturally) from the beauty".

The rest of Verse 24:31

Women have innumerable styles, attires, decorations and dresses available to them compared to the few bland styles of men due to their special gift of zeena / 'beauty'.

In the rest of 24:31, Allah identifies a list of people where a believing woman may exceed in showing her beauty.

However, how this is implemented outside or inside this group of people, such as which areas of the body are revealed, dresses, jewellery, cosmetics, and modes of behaviour suitable for any given moment is left entirely up to the conscience of the true believing woman.

It may also vary between different believing women, according to their conscience and level of beauty, as well as specific or special situations. No other person has the right to define for a believing woman what the verse is telling her in terms of practical implementation.

A sincere believer's implementation is inherently correct, regardless of the views of others which depend on many influences and external agendas.

No man or woman has the right to restrict or prohibit cosmetics / make-up, jewellery, dresses, sleeve-length, types of shoes etc. based on this verse or any verse, when Allah has intentionally left it open in the Qur'an for the believing woman's conscience.

"Do not say falsely, 'this is lawful (halal) and that is prohibited (haram)', inventing a lie about Allah.

Those who invent lies about Allah do not prosper."

(Qur'an 16:116)

EXOTIC / BELLY DANCING ETC

Belly Dancer Since earliest history, forms of exotic dances where the purpose is to stimulate erotic thoughts have been famously and exclusively performed by women. For example, belly dancing, pole dancing, lap dancing etc.

Allah dignifies believing women by ensuring they are valued on similar terms with men by prohibiting such dances

"And they shall not stamp their feet in order to reveal parts of their beauty that should be hidden." (Qur'an 24:31)

However, artistic forms of dance, which do not sexually flaunt a woman's beauty is not part of the restriction as the verses uses an expression that indicates that only the more hidden part of the beauty should not be flaunted (مِنْ زِينَتِهِنَّ / min zeenatihinna) ie. sexual.

DOES THE QUR'AN COMMAND COVERING OF THE FACE ("NIQAB") ?

There is absolutely no indication of this in the Qur'an.

It is obvious that such a command would conflict with the nature and intentions of the designs of the human head, and Allah's commandments are in harmony with His creation. Hearing, breathing, speech, eating and facial expressions, all have been designed and concentrated on the head so that it be left uncovered at all times - the head is designed intentionally to be exposed for all these systems to perform without deterioration.

It is paramount to bear in mind once again, that Allah does not command against His purposes in design.

A verse used by some people, in an attempt to convince the face veil is 33:53, where believing men are told to speak to the prophet's wives from behind a 'barrier'.

This verse has nothing to do with covering the face.

A PLEA TO DRESS MODESTLY

"Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and women of the believers to bring near on them their garments. That is better so that they are seen [as modest], and so not be troubled/harmed. Allah has always been Forgiving, Merciful." (Qur'an 33:59)

The special gift of beauty to only women kind means that it is difficult for men to dress provocatively, since they by design do not possess the unique beauty gifted to women kind. For this reason, it is easy for women to dress provocatively. Verse 33:59 of the Qur'an is revealed to address just that.

The emphasis here is not on what type of dress, but how modest the chosen dress should be.

By purely looking at the verse, "يُعْرَفْنَ / known as / seen as" achieves the meaning of being seen as modest women.

Sectarians however, use "known as / seen as" to be more like 'identified' as "Muslim" woman, because they have defined a particular 'costume' / a 'uniform' for what a so-called Muslim woman should wear.

The Qur'an does not define a costume, rather all cultural dresses of the world are acceptable.

When the verse says "يُعْرَفْنَ / known as" or "seen as", it is inferring to be seen as simply modest (dignified) women because the part following it says "and so (فَلا) not be harmed/troubled." Therefore, it is not about marking out a believing woman as a subscriber to the religion using a unique costume. The dress of any culture if worn in this conscientious manner will satisfy the requirement of being seen as modest / dignified women.

This verse is in the context of being in public, as it talks about being "troubled/harmed".

Another related verse on the topic of 'Women & Beauty' is as follows:

[Wives of the Prophet]: "Settle in your homes - do not [go out] in order to make a flamboyant display of beauty like in the old times of ignorance." (Qur'an 33:33)

NOTE

The Wives of the Prophet (and all believing women) are permitted to go out, as the verse we have seen above (33:59), addresses 'how' they should go out i.e. be seen as dignified women.

Allah advises believing women to appear 'pleasant' when going out, when He says:

"Children of Adam, take your pleasant [appearances] to every Mosque."

(Qur'an 7:31)

NOTE

*Here, "Children of Adam" includes both men and women.

Therefore to summarise, believing women do not go out with the intention of making a "flamboyant display of beauty" (33:33), yet dress 'pleasantly' outside (7:31) in the manner which does not bring 'harmful' attention (33:59) (the particularities of how is left to the conscience of the believing woman).

Thus, we can conclude that the Qur'an preserves and honours the precious beauty of a woman's body gifted by Allah Himself. Also, the guidelines of Allah can be complied with while celebrating one's own cultural dress.

"Mankind, We created you from a single male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may know (accept) one another. The most noble among you in the sight of Allah are those who are mindful of Allah.* *Allah is All-Knowledgeable, All-Wise". (Qur'an 49:13)

NOTE

The Arabic term in the first verse, "يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ / to bring near on them (their garments)", refers to the body naturally, rather than the head.

It does not say, "over them" to indicate head-cover, but "on them" referring to the body i.e. wearing dress / clothing on the body.

This is an oft-misunderstood or intentionally twisted part of the verse, as translating it as "over them" can imply head-covering.

CONCLUSION

The Qur'an reveals the secret of 'women and beauty', and asks believing women to honour this gift by dressing in a dignified and conscientious manner.

People with ill intentions, who seek to find justifications for their personal cultures and agendas will go to any lengths to find a Quranic verse they can use to promote their prejudiced views.

It is necessary for a true believer to remain sincere and objective, and use an unbiased approach to Allah's verses to dispel the myths. The above sorts of people depict a twisted view of religion and devotion to Allah, keeping people away from reading the Qur'an directly, thinking over it, and surrendering to Allah the true Quranic way.

Therefore to conclude, there is no requirement to cover the hair in the Qur'an for women.

There is also no requirement for the face veil.

The human head has eyes, mouth, nose and ears, all of which are designed to be left unobstructed at all times - i.e. the head is intended by Allah to be left uncovered, and the Qur'an remains in harmony with this.

SALAT

 SALAT

THE IMAMIST CONSPIRACY OF NAMAAZ:

Please remind yourself of the famous weird tale of the Prophet (S) ascending to heavens to meet with Allah, the so-called Me'raaj  (the word is non-existent in  the Quran).

Is not Allah Omnipresent?

The "Imams" of Hadith want us to believe that Allah ordained 50 ritual prayers daily for Muslims on that occasion.

As the exalted Prophet was descending,  Prophet Moses told him of the impossibility of the situation and sent Muhammad (S) back again and again.

Imagine the Prophet (S) bargaining with God! Repeated visits to and fro then bring the number down to 40, 30, 20, 10, and finally 5! Moses a. s. wanted him to make one more trip but Muhammad (S) felt shy to bargain any further.

Was this Hadith, in addition to promoting ritualism, fabricated to prove Moses' farsightedness over Muhammad (S)?

Only an extremely gullible mind would accept this nonsense.

The later Persian Imams built upon this tale and formulated the current Namaaz.

They received strong support from the Persian Zoroastrian mother of Khalifa Haroon Rasheed, Khaizran (d. 789 CE).

Haroon's Zoroastrian viziers, the Baramika were only too happy to join hands with the royal mother, Khaizran.

So, it was she in concert with others who "canonized" Namaaz according to the desires of the Criminal  Imams in 153 AH (773 CE).

Her main philosopher was Imam Al-Khalil bin Ahmad Shikoh, the first ever compiler of Arabic to Persian dictionary, Al-'Ain.

WHY WAS IMAM HANBAL FLOGGED?

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal is reported to have been flogged by Khalifa Mamun son of Haroon because Hanbal supposedly insisted that the Quran being the Word of God was  Ghair Makhlooq (non-creation).

No!

That wasn't it. It was too trivial a debate.

Hanbal got flogged because he saw and opposed the Persian Namaaz (Bandagi or Gah) being incorporated into Islam.

ANOTHER POINT OF INTEREST:

Khaizran spent a fortune on her project and distributed one million gold coins and 65 million silver coins among her subjects to propagate the 'canonized' Namaaz.

References are given in the next heading.

Less than 5% Muslims "perform" Namaaz and they keep announcing their prayers.

No one can say or says, "I have established  Salaat."

Yet, most Muslims keep arguing about Namaaz.

Experiment:

Call a random gathering of  Muslims anywhere for Namaaz under completely unexpected circumstances.

You will notice almost all of them joining the lines, most of them without Wudhu (Ablution)!

What Exactly Was NAMAAZ (Ritual Salaat):

As far as I have been able to analytically search our history and  Hadith, following was the probable situation in the lifetime of the exalted Prophet and Sahaba Kiraam.

•  Ritual prayer or Namaaz was a small part of  Aqamatis-Salaat, i.e. establishing the System that facilitates the following of Divine Commands.

•  The ritual prayer was always congregational.

•  Women and men both formed this congregation, women on the right side of men.

•  The frequency and timing of the congregations were determined by the State as needed. It was never fixed as five times a day ritual.

•  Namaaz was performed with the Imam (Central or local governmentofficial) reciting some verses from the Quran relevant to the situation at hand as the congregation listened to the Imam.

Then the Imam would lead two units of prayers standing.

Masjid was not a temple of worship.

It was the Assembly, the School, the Municipality, the Parliament and the Government House.

So, after that recitation, the leader would discuss real issues about the community, entertain questions, present bills, announce decisions of the Shura (Counsel) and the Assembly would legislate.

People came up with their ideas for betterment of the society. Masjid was also the place where the leader was elected.

HOW QUICKLY WAS THE RITUAL SALAAT CHANGING!

Bukhari Vol.1, Book 10, Number 507: Narrated Ghailan: Anas bin Malik (A Sahabi) said, "I do not find (now-a-days) things as they were (practised) at the time of the Prophet." Somebody said "The prayer (is as it was)". Anas said, "Have you not done in the prayer what you have done?"

Bukhari Vol.1, Book 10, Number 508: Narrated Az-Zuhri that he visited Anas bin Malik at Damascus and found him weeping and asked him why he was weeping. He replied, "I do not know anything which I used to know during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle except this prayer which is being lost (not being offered as it should be)."

The comments, "Have you not done in the prayer what you have done?",and the "Lost Prayer" indicate that something went wrong with the Ritual Prayer (Namaaz) soon after Sahaba Kiraam.

DOES HADITH EXPLAIN THE METHOD OF NAMAAZ?

The Book of Allah claims to be, and certainly is, complete, detailed and describes all things divinely ordained.

Say this to an N2I.

The knee-jerk response will be, "No, it does not give you the method of Namaaz."

Well, did Allah forget?

Contrary to the common claims, all the books of Hadith combined together will fail to give  you a complete, consistent method of Namaaz.

RITUALISTIC SALAAT BY ITSELF IS NOTHING:

11:87 They said, "O Shoaib! (We had thought that your religion was only a matter between you and your Lord).

Does your Salaat command that we should forsake the worship that our fathers practised?

Or, that we leave off doing what we like to do with our economy?

Behold, you want us to think that you are the only clement, and the rightly guided man among us."

DOES NAMAAZ DO ALL THIS? AQAAMATUS SALAAT SURE DOES:

29:45 (O Prophet) convey to people all that is revealed to you of the Book, and establish the Divine System.

For,  verily, establishment of the Divine System will shut off lewdness, stinginess and behavior contrary to the Divine Values.

This is so, because Allah’s Law is the Greatest Law that can give you eminence.

And (O People) Allah knows whatever you contrive on your own. [21:10, 21:24, 23:70, 43:43-44, 70:21-27 - ‘Fahasha’ includes lewdness and miserliness and ‘Munkar’ is all behavior that goes against Divine Values given in the Quran]

CENTRAL PRAYER:

 What is  Salaatil Wusta?

 Central Prayer?

 Middle Namaaz?

Namaaz 'Asr?

2:238 Watch all your commitments and especially the Central Duty (of guarding of the Divine System). And stay alert in Allah's Cause.

THE RITUAL PRAYER (NAMAAZ) AND MORE

Your #NAMAAZ was #stolen from #Zoroastrianism by #your #Parsi #Imams from #Persia.

It would be appropriate if we can discuss the startling similarities between some practices of Islam and Zoroastrianism.

These parallels go beyond the co-incindental normal ones.

I will endeavour to enumerate a few here:

 01. REQUIRMENTS OF PRAYERS:

Islam enjoins its followers to pray 5 times a day and is called by the Muezzin to his prayers.

These prayers are at i) Dawn  ii) Noon  iii) Afternoon  iv) Sunset  v) Night.

 #Zoroastrianism also enjoins #prayers #5 #TImes a day called #Geh".

The devotee is summoned by the ringing of a bell in the AtashBehram / Agiary.

These prayers are also at the same time as in Islam and their respective names are:

Time: Islamic/ Zorastrianism

Dawn: Fajar/ Havaan

Noon: Zohar/ Rapithwan

Afternoon: Asr/ Uziren

Evening: Mazreem or Maghrib/ Aiwisuthrem

Night time: Isha or Ishan/ Ushaen.

 02. PRE-REQUESTIES OF PRAYER:

On  entering the mosque and prior to commencing prayers a Muslim has to  cover his head and wash his face and limbs.

Similarly, a Zoroastrian on  entering the Agiary will cover his head, wash his face and limbs and  perform the Padyaab Kusti before commencing his prayers.

 03. THE PRAYERS:

Prayers in Islam are in Arabic only, though translations/transliterations are available.

The liturgy has to be conducted in Arabic only.

In Zoroastrianism too, prayers have to be recited in Avesta or in Pazend only.

In fact in Aveatan prayers Pazend portions have to be recited in an undertone so as not  to break the seamless flow of Avestan Manthravani.

04. SANCTUM SANCTORUM AND ITS VENERATION:

The holiest spot in a Mosque is the wall facing Mecca and is called the Qiblah.

In the Atashbehram/Agiary the room where the Atash Padshah is enthroned is also called the Keblaah.

A Muslim will perform the Sajdah in front of the Qiblah and so also will the Zoroastrian perform the Sezdah before his Keblaah.

Both involve kneeling down and touching the forehead to the ground.

 05. A HOLY MONTH:

In Islam Ramzan is the holy month in which all Muslims are required to fast in the day and  only break their fast after sunset.

In Zoroastrianism the month of Bahman has similiar connotations wherein all are requested to particularly abstain  from flesh.

Perhaps in the age of the Sassanian dynasty the month of Bahman was observed as Ramzan is now.

 06. ASCENT INTO HEAVEN

The hagiography of Islam assures us that Prophet Mohammad ascended to heaven from  Jerusalem on the mythical beast Burrrak.

He crossed the 7 spheres, exchanged greetings with the patriarchs and beheld the glory of God.

The Dinkard tells us that at the entreaties of Asho Zarthustra Bahman Ameshaspand transcendentally elevated his consciousness to the realm of heaven wherein Asho Zarthustra looked at the reflugent majesty of God.

A similiar journey was attributed to  the virtuous Ardaviraf who visited hell, purgatory and heaven during his spiritual journey.

The above similarities are obvious.

A more careful research would reveal more parallels.

However even these points are too close to be dismissed as mere coincidences.

This means Zoroastrianism has had an enormous impact on Islam which is not acknowledged.

Everyone agrees Islam owes a lot to Judaism and Christianity but I feel that the scholars of Islam borrowed very heavily from Iran and this can be perhaps attributed to that shadowy figure of Dastur Dinyar (Salman Farsi).

This debt is so impressive that it had to be consistently downgraded and later denied.

After all if Islam is supposedly directly inspired by God it cannot be seen to be acknowledging any debt to an older faith, specially the faith of a nation which Islam has defeated.

This may perhaps explain the devotion of your Persian Imams to my Faith.

 07. Chinvat Bridge (The SIRAAT BRIDGE):

According to ancient Persian myth, when a person dies, the soul remains by the body for three days.

On the fourth, it travels to Chinvat Bridge (the Bridge of the Separator, also call  Al-Sirat), accompanied by gods of protection.

The bridge is "finer than a hair and sharper than a sword" and spans a deep chasm teeming with monsters. On the other side of the bridge is the gateway to paradise.

08. HELL:

Demons guard the foot of the bridge and argue with the gods over the soul's fate.

The actions of the dead person, both good and bad, are weighed, and the soul is either allowed to cross or denied access to the bridge.

Spirits whose evil outweighs their good fall into the demon-infested pit to face eternal torment.

In this  abyss of the damned, each soul is tortured by a GHOUL that represents its sins in life. Once fallen into the gulf, no soul can escape the horrors of hell through its own power.

#Zoroaster, a #sixth #century #BC #religious #Leader, had warned his followers of this obstacle to heaven but he promised to lead his flock safely across.

The ancient manuscript Gathas (Songs of Zoroaster) explains that the Bridge of the Separator "becomes narrow for the wicked," whereas the holy can easily pass unharmed.

(In Gathas, the fair god Rashnu is named as the judge who helps determine who is worthy of salvation and who must be damned.)

All infidels (non-believers)  fall into hell, which the prophet says has been created especially for the "followers of the lie."

The legends are sketchy but assert that Chinvat Bridge is located somewhere in the far north.

It is a place of filth where the damned endure physical tortures and spiritual agony.

Souls who are unsuccessful in crossing the Chinvat Bridge suffer these torments until AHRAMAN, the evil god of ZOROASTRIANISM, is destroyed by the good god Orzmahd during the LAST JUDGMENT.

As this time, lost spirits are restored to the truth since "the lie" has been eradicated, or they face final ANNIHILATION.

Notice the similarity?

So you guys are actually pagan stone and sun worshippers, correct?

BUT YOUR #QURAN IS #PURE AND #FREE #FROM #PLAGIARISM.

DUROOD VS SALAWAT

#DUROOD is a #Persian word meaning #cutting off from the root'.

This termwas maliciously introduced by the #AJAMI (Persian) #Imams".

You probably know that 95% of our "Imams" hailed from the #defeated #Persia.

They were PARSIS (Zoroastrians, Magians, Majoos), but #Muslims in #disguise #only.

This includes the six Sunni MUHADDITHEEN of "SAHAH SITTAH" (the six 'authentic' books of Hadith) and the three Shi'a MUHADDITHEEN of "SAHAH ARB'AH" (the four ‘authentic’ books of Hadith).

Add "Imam" #TABARI (d.310 Hijrah), the first historian and exponent of the Quran, plus a multitude.

They were "canonized" by the #ABBASID CALIPHS of BAGHDAD.

Why?

The caliphs were under the influence of their Parsi mothers and wives.

Moreover, these caliphs and the state-sponsored "Imams" had a synergistic relationship.

You will not find any ONE of these "Imams" opposing kingship and despotism.

Rather, they opened the gates for HAREMS, slaves, concubines, wine and all kind of luxury, indulgence and lavishness for the elite.

Anyone criticizing these "Imams" would lose his neck under the state-sponsored #QAZI'S FATWA (religious edict).

So, DUROOD was implied to mean 'cutting off TAWHEED from its root'.

Just as SALAT was changed to the Parsi NAMAZ, SALAWAT was denatured into the despicable DUROOD.

Now, real SALAWAT is given in the Quran. We don't need to quit SALAWAT.

INNALLAHA WA MALAAIKATIHI YUSALLOON 'ALANNABI. YA AIYYUHALLAZEENA AAMANOO! SALLOO 'ALAYIHI WA SALLIMOO TASLEEMA.

Here it is:

33:56 Verily, Allah and His angels bless the Messenger and support his Mission (33:43).

O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Bless him and give yourself up to him and his Mission in total submission. (4:65, 7:157).

So, we can say and work on SALALLAHU ‘ALYIHI WA SALLAM – or ALLAHUMMA SALLI ‘ALA MUHAMMADINWWA BAARIK WA SALLIM Here is the SALAWAT for MU'MINEEN.

33:43 He it is Who bestows His blessings upon you, and supports you, and His angels, that He may bring you forth from darkness into the Light. And Merciful is He, indeed, to those who attain belief. (2:155-157, 9:10314:1, 14:15, 33:56)

WATCH YOUR PRAYER RUG!

It’s a common myth among Muslims - Never leave your prayer rug unfolded!

Why?

Because the Satan will pray on it otherwise!

So what?

Let the poor kid pray.

A similar scare – Never leave the Quran open, otherwise the Satan will read it.

So, let the poor kid read it ☺

HUMANS CREATED FOR WORSHIP?!

Nay, Allah is in no need of our worship.

51:56 And I have not created the ‘jinn’ and the ‘ins’ but that they obey (serve) Me alone.

[‘Jinn’ = Nomads. ‘Ins’ = Urbanites.

Check Surah 72 Al-Jinn, author’s note, for details.

‘Ibadah’ is usually translated as worship but it is better applicable in that sense to idol-worship.

And since the Quran consistently promotes action over ritual, ‘Ibadah’ means obeying Allah by serving His creation]

14:8 And Moses said, “If you disbelieve - you and all on earth together, yet Allah is indeed Self-Sufficient needing none, Owner of Praise.”

YOU HUMANS & JINNS!

“Fabi ayyi aalaai Rabbikumaa tukazzibaan” (Surah 55, Ar-Rahman).

The addressees of that verse are ‘you both’.

So, many commentators, always fond of degrading women, render it as, “O Jinns and men!”

But, keeping in mind the Big Picture of the Quran, the correct rendition is, "O Men and women!" Another frequent error is translating ‘Aala’ as blessing, bounty or favor.

That meaning falls completely and repeatedly out of line in the Surah. How can the Hell be a bounty?

Another meaning of ‘Aala’ is Authority, Power and Control, and that is what goes consistent throughout the verses in the Surah.

Hence, the correct rendition of the verse will be:

Then, O Men and women!

Which Authority of your Lord will you deny?

(Instead of: Then, O Jinns and men! Which bounty of your Lord will you deny?) .
