A BELIEVER

Who is a believer in the eyes of Allah?

The so –called label Muslims or those who have actually attained peace in their hearts? Let’s have a deeper look into the Book of Allah.

LAWS OF ALLAH

QURAN=Law of Cause and Effect

*It is only His laws that are operative in the entire Universe, and any nations falling in conflict with His laws will suffer ultimate self-destruction. The conflict between one’s word and action amounts to self-deception that has its own dire consequences. What you sow is what you reed. Unlike human tyrants, Allah is not an emotional King and His Rule is the Rule of law. So whoever acts according to His Laws can gain purification spiritually. He punishes and forgives according to His Laws. In the Qur’an, reverence or love of Allah invariably denotes obeying His commands. The belief in Allah and the Last Day must be in accordance with the Qur’an.*

*Verses 2:62 and 5:69 emphasize that mere giving of a name to one’s religion or creed carries no importance.*

*SERVE ALLAH= By following His Laws*

*All the laws are confined in these two categories.*

*1. Serve (Help) the humanity.*

*2. Reform yourself - your body and your character by following the Devine System.*

•  *“If you love Allah, follow me.*

*Then Allah will love you and protect you from trailing behind in humanity. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."*

*1. Loving Allah = Following His commands = Serving His creation = Benefiting others.*

*2. Allah’s love = His blessings in both lives.*

*DEED OF A BELIEVER*

• *Except those who repent and reform and openly proclaim (the truth that they were hiding). To them I turn - for, I am the Acceptor of repentance, Most Merciful. (2:160)*

*1. Taubah = Repentance = Turning to Allah = Returning to the right path=following Allah’s laws.*

*2. Sualeha = Corrective action = Reforming deeds = Making amends=by following the laws of Allah*

*DEFINITON OF A BELIEVER*

*A believer is not a so called Muslim .The best definition of believer by Allah:*

*“WA LA KHAUFUN ALAIHIM WALA HUM YAHZANOON”*

*No fear from without, nor shall they have any grief from within.”*

*Believer: O You who believe = O You who have attained peace and security from within=On You who have no fear and grief=O You who submit to the laws of Allah totally= O You who acknowledge the Qur’an.*

• *Attaining to belief must be an act consciously undertaken after due reflection and with free will. ‘Passive’ faith such as claiming to be a ‘believer by birth’ has no merit in the Sight of Allah. See 4:136, 12:108. Also, choosing to believe in truth is a great blessing of Allah. Believing and attaining peace are attained by following the Laws of Allah in His Book.*

*WA LA KHAUF UN ALAIHIM WALA HUM YAHZANOON*

*Nay, whoever submits his whole being to Allah, and he is a doer of good to humanity, his reward is with his Nourisher/Sustainer. Then, no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve.* (2:112)

*Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and afterward do not follow their giving with reminders of their generosity or injure the feelings of the recipients; their reward is with their Nourisher/Sustainer. No fear shall be on them, nor shall they grieve. (2:262)*

*Those who spend their wealth on the needy, by night and by day, secretly or publicly, have their reward with their Nourisher/Sustainer . They shall have nothing to fear or regret. (2:274)*

*“Indeed those who believe/who have attained peace and reform their deeds and contribute to purification. For them, their reward is with their Nourisher/Sustainer. No fear from without, nor shall they have any grief from within.”(2:277)*

Belief in Taqdeer

*1. Predetermined destiny has been interjected in the fabricated Ajami accounts as the sixth article of faith by ‘Imams’, making Muslims fatalistic in their thought and behavior. The Qur’an nowhere mentions Taqdeer or the predestined fates of individuals. The Qadar or Taqdeer always denote the law, the due measure of all things appointed by Allah. And man determines his own destiny either by following or defying those laws.*

*We have certainly created man and We know the whispering that goes on within his mind. We are nearer to him than his Vena cava. (50:16)*

EXAMPLE:

*It’s similar to that I know what will be the next action of my daughter or how will she behave in a particular situation. She is not behaving according to me .She is behaving according to her own free will.*

*2. It is normally perceived that whatever happens, happens because Allah has written that for us.*

EXAMPLE:

*A manufacturers makes a machine and he knows that how much it will work, its limitations its expected behaviour. It’s not that because he has made the machine it will work according to him. It will work independently. Let’s say the manufacturer expects that it will work only for 10 years but it can work more than that according to its capacity. Similarly Allah has created us and left us independent, to our own free will. But yes it’s because He has created us He knows our characteristic and how we will behave in a certain condition. It’s not that we will behave in a certain way because it been written by Allah.* *Then we would be just be actors and no point in creating us.*

*Allah has granted man a measure of freedom but He keeps watch over man to see how he uses the freedom:*

*Life is a test for yourselves to see which of you leads a balanced life and is best in conduct. (11:7)*

TRAITS OF A BELIEVER

*And believe in what I have revealed confirming with what you already have. Be not the first among those who will conceal the truth therein, and trade not My revelations for petty gains. Rather, take guard with Me. (2:41)*

*Do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you are well aware of it.(2:42)*

*And seek aid with patience and connection and indeed it is hard except for those who are humbly committed to a noble cause, (2:45)*

*Those who realize that they are to meet their Lord and that they are to return to Him. (2:46)*

*(Meeting the Nourisher/Sustainer also indicates facing His Law of Requital. Returning to Him signifies being subject to His law. It also denotes following His commands, and of course, it alludes to the life Hereafter]*

*All of you say: “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Ibraheem and Ismail and Ishaaq and Yaqoob and the descendants and what was given to Moosa and Eesa and what was given to the prophets from their Nourisher/Sustainer. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are submitters to Him. (2:136)*

*Those who conceal the Book of Allah, and barter it away for a trifling gain; they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah shall not address them on the Day of Judgement and shall not purify them and for them is a painful punishment. (2:174)*

*(Those who conceal the Book = The ones who start making their own lists of the lawful and unlawful, and thus, usurp the Divine Right of law-making.*

*(Also note that this verse clearly mentions the ongoing growth and evolution of the ‘self’ in the Hereafter. Tazkiah from Zaku = Growth = Purity from vice = Development of the ‘self’ = Self-actualization)*

*Those who are steadfast in their connection (with Allah/by following his Laws) (23:2)*

*Those who avoid vain talk and turn away from all that is senseless (and value time)*

*Those, who contribute to purification,. (23:4)*

*Those, who guard their chastity, (23:5)*

*Those, who are faithful to their trusts and their pledges, (23:8)*

*HELP THEMSELVES*

*And those when wrong reaches them they help themselves. (42:39)*

*HOW DO THEY HELP THEMSELVES?*

*The reward of bad deed is like of it.so whosoever forgives and reforms then his reward is on Allah. Indeed Allah does not love the oppressors.* (42:40)

• *By forgiving and reforming their deeds*

*REPEL EVIL WITH GOOD BEHAVIOUR*

*Since good and evil cannot be alike, repel evil with what is decent. Then he, between whom and you there was enmity, may become close friend.* (41:34)

• *Remember! Deeds which create balance and harmony in society and in one's own self, cannot be like the actions which create chaos.  If disorder and chaos has affected society, the best way to get rid of these would be to do more constructive work.  (This would offset the ill effects of their misdeeds and stop further deterioration.)*

• *Secondly, another advantage would be that the severe enmity or hatred that has developed between you and the one, who was responsible for creating disorder, would turn into close friendship.*

*Yet, none is granted this quality but those who exercise patience and restraint. And none is granted it except those who become worthy of great happiness and good fortune. (41:35)*

• *This is the way to stop evil with decency, but it can only be useful for those who have the possibility or desire to reform.   However this is a very difficult task and only the person who is steadfast can achieve it. The man who is endowed with this attribute will certainly be a man of great fortune and success. This reflects the superiority and greatness of their character.*

• *This quality can make you outstandingly successful, winning. [Zu-hazzin ‘azeem = Extremely fortunate*

• *And you are not retaliating and forgiving someone only to seek Allah’s pleasure.*

*REWARDS OF YOUR DEEDS*

*LAW OF REQUITTAL_ LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT*

*Whoever brings a good deed will receive a tenfold reward. And whoever brings an ill deed will be requited for one. And they will not be wronged. (6:160)*

CONCLUSION

*And to Allah belongs whatsoever is in the multiverses and whatsoever is in the earth, that He may (according to His Law of Requital) reward those who do bad deeds and reward those who do good deeds. (53:31).*
