2:122 O Children of Israel, remember My blessings that I had blessed you with, and that I had preferred you over all the worlds.
2:123. And beware of a Day when no soul can avail another soul, nor will any amendment be accepted from it, nor will any intercession help it; they will not be supported.
[Absolute justice is about to prevail in the State of Madinah, then in this world, and ultimately in the Hereafter.
2:48.Guard yourselves against the Day on which no soul will be of help to another. No intercession will be accepted, no ransom taken, and no help will be given.
6:164. Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Should I seek a Rabb other than Allah while He is the Rabb of everything?” No one will reap except what they sow. No soul burdened with sin will bear the burden of another. Then to your Rabb is your return, and He will inform you of your differences.]
2: 124. And Abraham was tested by words from His Lord, which he fulfilled. He said: "I will make you a leader for the people." He said: "And also from my progeny?" He said: "My pledge will not encompass the wicked."
2:125. And We have made the Sanctuary to be a model for the people and a security. And you shall take, from the station of ibrahim, a place for making the contact. And We entrusted to Ibrahim and Ismail: "You shall purify My Sanctuary for those who visit, and those who are devoted, and the kneeling, the prostrating."
2:126. And Ibrahim said: "My Rabb, make this a land of peace, and provide for its inhabitants of the fruits for whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "As for he who rejects, I will let him enjoy for a while, then I will force him to the retribution of the Fire. What a miserable destiny!"
[14:37.Our Rabb! I have settled some of my offspring in a barren valley, near Your Sacred House, Our Rabb, so that they may establish prayer. So make the hearts of ˹believing˺ people incline towards them and provide them with fruits, so perhaps they will be thankful.
17:18-20. Whoever desires this fleeting world ˹alone˺, We hasten in it whatever We please to whoever We will; then We destine them for Hell, where they will burn, condemned and rejected.
But whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it accordingly, and is a ˹true˺ believer, it is they whose striving will be appreciated.
We provide both the former and the latter from the bounty of your Rabb. And the bounty of your Lord can never be withheld.
22:25. Indeed, those who persist in disbelief and hinder ˹others˺ from the Way of Allah and from the Sacred Masjid—which We have appointed for all people, residents and visitors alike—along with whoever intends to deviate by doing wrong in it, We will cause them to taste a painful punishment.
95:3.And this the secure city ˺]
2:127. And as Abraham raised from the Sanctuary its foundations, along with Ismail "Our Rabb accept this from us, You are the Hearer, the Knowledgeable."
2:128. "Our Rabb and let us submit to You and from our progeny a nation submitting to You, and show us our rites, and forgive us; You are the Forgiver, the Merciful."
[2:186.When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ˹with obedience˺ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ˹to the Right Way˺.
2:286. Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Rabb! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Rabb! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Rabb! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”
‘Manasik’ = Ways of service and devotion to Allah especially during Hajj with camel sacrifice by some as needed for the congregation to be self-sufficient in food resource. = Being of service to Allah by achieving human unity, and thus being of service to all mankind.]
2:129. "Our Rabb, and send among them a messenger from among themselves, that he may recite to them Your revelations and teach them the Book and the wisdom, and purify them. You are the Noble, the Wise."
[Tazkiah from Zaku = Development of the ‘self’ = Personal development = Self-actualization. This teaching will not be mere lecturing, but it will entail the establishment of the Deen the Divinely Prescribed System of Life in the individuals and the society. A benevolent society helps the individuals to grow in goodness and attain self-actualization.
2:231.When his Rabb ordered him, “Submit ˹to My Will˺,” he responded, “I submit to the Rabb of all worlds.”
17:39. This is part of the wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺. And do not set up any other god with Allah ˹O humanity˺, or you will be cast into Hell, blameworthy, rejected.
33:34.˹Always˺ remember what is recited in your homes of Allah’s revelations and ˹prophetic˺ wisdom. Surely Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware.
57:25. Indeed, We sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and with them We sent down the Scripture and the balance ˹of justice˺ so that people may administer justice. And We sent down iron with its great might, benefits for humanity, and means for Allah to prove who ˹is willing to˺ stand up for Him and His messengers without seeing Him. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Almighty.]
2:130. And who would abandon the creed of Ibrahim except one who fools himself? We have selected him in this world, and in the Hereafter he is of the righteous.
[As-Saaliheen = The righteous ones = Those who have attained self-actualization = Perfected their personalities = Maximized their human potential = Who set things right = Help others = Create balance in the society = Fulfill others’ needs = Raise the community.
16:120. Indeed, Ibrahim was a nation obedient to Allah upright, and not he was of the polytheists.]
2:131. When his Rabb ordered him "Submit (yourself)," he responded, "I (have) submitted to (the) Rabb (of) all worlds."
2:132. And enjoined [it] Ibrahim (upon) his sons and Yaqub, "O my sons! Indeed, Allah has CHOSEN for you the DEEN, so not (should) YOU DIE EXCEPT while you (are) SUBMISSIVE (MUSLIMS)."
[” (Muslims = Submitters to Allah alone, guardians of peace.
22:78. Strive for ˹the cause of˺ Allah in the way He deserves, for ˹it is˺ He ˹Who˺ has chosen you, and laid upon you no hardship in the aldeen—the way of your forefather Abraham. ˹It is Allah˺ Who named you ‘the ones who submit’(Muslim) ˹in the˺ earlier ˹Scriptures˺ and in this ˹Quran˺, so that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and that you may be witnesses over humanity. So establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and hold fast to Allah. He ˹alone˺ is your Guardian. What an excellent Guardian, and what an excellent Helper!
Deen = The Divinely Prescribed System of Life = Al-Islam. It has more to do with the collective life of humans and the science of sociology. It concerns itself with people living in this world collectively in peace according to a Code of permanent values that ensures success in both lives. Religion Mazhab is more of a generic term signifying a creed involving certain rites and rituals and seeking individual salvation. Islam being a Collective System of Life is, in fact, a challenge to religion]
2:133. Or did you witness when death came to Jacob? He asked his children, “Who will you serve after my passing?” They replied, “We will ˹continue to˺serve your Allah, the Allah of your forefathers—Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac—the One Allah. And to Him we ˹all˺ submit ( muslimoon).”
