WHAT IS THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HADITH AND SUNNAH?
*According to scholars, the Sunnah refers to the Prophet's teachings and examples, whereas the Hadith is a narrative recorded in the books of Hadith that illustrates the Sunnah.*
*But the WORD SUNNAH EXISTS IN THE QURAN to MEAN ALLAH LAW/WAY as in the VERSE BELOW* 👇🏻
*"Such was the Sunnah of God among those who lived. No change will you find in the Sunnah of Allah." (Al Quran# 33:62)*
*I am therefore baffled as to why the academics decided to change the meaning of the word Sunnah from what it originally meant in the Quran.*
*Please give this some thought. There are a lot of verses in the Quran that begin with 'Qul', meaning 'say unto them'- Allah taught the Prophet what to say to the people in reply to the questions that the people had asked him. Besides, some verses describe the Prophet's actions, too. So, the Prophet's sayings and actions are recorded in the Quran as guidance, and the Quran says that it is enough as guidance.*
*The Prophet will act as an example for humanity until the end of time, according to the Qur'an. But did Allah want for us to follow the Sunnah/examples described in the Qur'an, or did He mean for us to follow the Sunnah described in the extra-Quranic books those were written 200–300 years after the Prophet's passing and which neither Allah promised to preserve nor the Prophet had verified? And the worst part is that scholars often abandon Quranic texts in favor of Hadith accounts.*
*If Allah had intended for us to follow the narratives found in the Hadith collections of Bukhari and Muslim, and others, He would have made it clear in the Quran that we have to obey them when they appeared with the Prophet's Hadith. But Allah didn't say anything about it. Instead, God declared in the Quran that the Quran is the best Hadith and Tafseer since it is comprehensive and requires no further explanation.*
*Therefore, if you want to follow the Sunnah, you decide what to follow. It is your choice whether to follow the Quran or extra-Quranic resources.*
