HAJJ

 🔺 HAJJ DURATION

🔺What the Quran says: Quran allows Hajj to be observed any time during "the known months" (2:197), which are the 4 Hurum months (9:36).

🔺What the hadith followers do: Hajj is restricted to the first few days of the 12th month (Zhu Al-Hijjah), and particularly to the 'Day of Arafat'. As a result, millions of people are deprived yearly from the opportunity to observe their Hajj. In addition, the unnecessary overcrowding causes the Hajj trip to be transformed from the intended calm spiritual experience into being a congested stressful ordeal.

🔺"Day Of Arafah": They will tell you that the "Day Of Arafah" which (for them) falls on 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah is the most important day of the Muslim Calendar.

Not only is this claim unsupported in the Quran, but in fact, it contradicts the Quran.

Allah allowed the believers four months during which they can observe the Hajj (2:197). This means that the day on which they visit Mount Arafat could be any day within the four months, and not only on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah!
