SURAH TAUBAH 51 - 129

QURAN TAFSIR ( QURAN AS IT EXPLAIN ITSELF)

In the Name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

9:51.Say: "Never can happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us. Allah is our (Mawlana)protector." And in Allah let the believers put their trust.

[Calling religious men as Maulana is a very common but dangerous practice involving Shirk]

9:52. Say: “Do you wait for us except one of the two best things; while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with a punishment from Himself or by our hands. So wait and we shall hopefully wait with you."

9:53. Say: "Spend willingly or unwillingly, it will not be accepted from you. You are e a definitely  disobedient people ."

9:54. And nothing prevents their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in Allah Messenger, and  they do not attend to the contact prayer (Salah) except while they are lazily, and they do not spend except   while they are unwillingly.

[2:8.And from the people are those who say: "We believe in Allah and in the Last Day," but they are not believers.

4:142.The hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, while He is deceiving them; and if they stand to make the contact prayer, they do so lazily, only to show the people; they do not remember Allah except very little.

107:5. Those who know not what their salat is meant to be

2:256.There is no compulsion in the system; the proper way has been clarified from the wrong way. Whoever rejects evil, and believes in Allah, indeed he has taken grasp of the strongest hold that will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower.]

9:55. So do not be impressed by their wealth, or their children.Allah only intends to punish them with  in the  world life, so that  their lives will end while they are disbelievers.

[9:85.Do not also be impressed by their wealth and their children; Allah only wishes to punish them with it in this world, and their selves will vanish while they are ingrates.

The ‘dazzle’ of the world holds them back from striving. But people must strive and build Paradise with their own hands.

3:135.And those who, if they commit lewdness, or wrong themselves, they remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins. And who can forgive the sins except Allah? And they do not persist in what they have done while they know.

16:32. Those whom the controllers take, while they had been good, they will say, "Peace be upon you, enter paradise because of what you have done."

46:14. These are the dwellers of Paradise, abiding therein, a reward for what they used to do.]

*9:56. They swear by Allah that they belong with you. In fact they are not of you, but they are a people ridden by fear (that you may kill them).

9:57. If they find a refuge, or a cave, or any place to enter, they would go to it, rushing.

9:58. Some of them  criticize your distribution of the charities. If they are given thereof, they are pleased, but if they are not given anything thereof, They are consumed with anger!

9:59. Would that they were content with what Allah and Allah's Messenger gave them and had said: “Allah is sufficient for us. Allah will give us of Allah's bounty, and so will Allah',s Messenger. We turn to Allah with all our hope.”

[59:7.Whatever God provided to His messenger from the people of the townships, then it shall be to Allah and Allah's messenger; for the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the wayfarer. Thus, it will not remain monopolized by the rich among you. You may take what the messenger gives you, but do not take what he withholds you from taking. Be aware of God, for God is mighty in retribution.

The Central Authority will be just to all]

9:60.As-Sadaqat  are only for the poor (Fuqara'), and (Al-Masakin) needy and those employed to collect them; and to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined(towards islam); free the slaves;those in debt,in the cause of Allah and to the wayfarer. Such is Allah's commandment And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

[It is important to bear in mind an almost universal misconception among Muslim scholars and the masses about Sadaqaat alms and charity. They think that the above eight categories are Zakaat.

But Zakaat indicates the Just Economic Order where everyone in the society receives a decent provision.

The cornerstone of Zakaat is spending whatever is surplus

2:219.They ask you about alcohol and gambling. Say: "In them is great harm, and a benefit for the people; but their harm is greater than their benefit." And they ask you how much they are to give, say: "The excess." It is thus that Allah clarifies for you the revelations that you may think.

6:141.And He is the One Who initiated gardens; both trellised and untrellised; and palm trees, and plants, all with different taste; and olives and pomegranates, similar and not similar. Eat from its fruit when it blossoms and give its due on the day of its harvest; and do not waste. He does not like the wasteful.

In other words, it means turning the extra income voluntarily to the Central Authority who, in turn, will establish a Welfare State where everyone works according to his capacity and is paid according to his needs.

The Central Authority can set up a mandatory percentage of income as taxes on its citizens.

The taxes will vary according to the needs of the time, be it 2.5%, 5% or more or less. *Verse 9:60 is talking about Sadaqaat alms and charity and not Zakaat.

Sadaqaat are meant to be only an interim arrangement applicable at any time until the Divinely Ordained System is established and the Just Economic Order is set up in the society]

9:61. And among them are men who hurt the Nabi and say: “He is  all ear (to every news).” Say: " what he listens to is best for you; he believes in Allah; has faith in the believers; and is a mercy to those of you who believe." But those who hurt the  Allah's Messenger will have a painful punishment.

9:62. They swear by Allah to you, in order to please you, while Allah and Allah's Messenger have more right that they pleasing. If they are believers.

9:63.  Do they not know that whoever opposes and shows hostility to Allah and His Messenger, certainly for him will be the fire of Hell to abide  therein. That is the extreme disgrace.

9:64. The hypocrites fear not chapter(Surah) should be revealed about them, showing them what is in their hearts. Say: "(Go ahead and) mock! For Allah will bring out what you fear."

[It was indeed revealed.

47:30. If We wished, We would show them to you so you would recognize them by their looks. However, you can recognize them by their speech. Allah is fully aware of your works.

The exalted Prophet came to know the hypocrites of his times]

9:65. And If you ask them (about this), they declare: “We were only talking idly and joking.” Say: "Is it at Allah, and Allah's Verses and Allah's Messenger (Rasool) that you were mocking".

9:66. Do not make excuse; you have disbelieved after  having believed. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others among you because they were criminals.

[4:17. Allah acceptance of repentance is only for those who commit sin out of ignorance and then repent soon after; these will be forgiven by Allah, Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.

9:102. Others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed good work with bad. Perhaps Allah will pardon them. Allah is oft-Forgiving, Merciful.

25:70. Except for the one who repents and acknowledges and does good work, for those Allah will replace their sins with good; Allah is Forgiving, Most- Merciful.

27:11. "Except one who transgresses. But then if he replaces the evil deed with good, then I am Forgiving, Most-Merciful"].

9:67. The hypocrites, men and women, are one from another; They enjoin evil, and forbid  what is the right, and they close their hands. They  forget Allah, so Allah has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the disobedient.

[Allah forgetting them’ denotes that He is depriving them of His grace. Allah forgets nothing in the customary sense. Whoever forgets Allah, forgets himself and Allah's honored stature of being a servant of the Supreme Rabb.

59:19.Do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. These are the disobedient.]

9:68. Allah has promised the hypocrites -- men and women -- and the disbelievers, fire of Hell; wherein they abide forever. It is sufficient for them. Allah has cursed them and  for them is lasting torment .

9:69. Like those before you: they were mightier than you in strength, and more abundant in wealth and children. So They enjoyed their portion and enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion; And you indulge like the one who indulge in idle talk. Those worthless are their deeds in the world and  in the Hereafter. And it is they who are the losers.

9:70. Has not the story reached them of those before them -- The people of Nuh,`Ad, Thamud, the people of Ibrahim and the companions of Madyan and the cities that were overturned? The Messengers came to them with clear proofs. Then, it was not Allah who caused  them any wrong; they rather wronged themselves.

9:71. The believers, men and women, are allies of one another; they join right, forbid from the wrong,  they establish the Salah, give the Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger(Rasool). Those Allah will show Allah's mercy to them. Surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

[The believing men and women, working together, do not deliver empty lectures.

They enjoin virtue and forbid vice by personal example, knowing that the Qur’an is the Eternal Criterion of right and wrong.

2:185. The month of Ramadhan, in which the Qur'an was revealed; as a guide to the people and clarities from the guidance and the Criterion. Whoever of you witnesses the month, then let him fast it. And whoever is ill or traveling, then the same number from different days. Allah wants to bring you ease and not to bring you hardship; and so that you may complete the count, and magnify Allah for what He has guided you, that you may be thankful.

Good’ and ‘Evil’, ‘Right’ and ‘Wrong’ are not vague entities.

The Qur’an clearly defines them in 2:177. Piety is not to turn your faces towards the east and the west, but pious is one who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Book, and the prophets, and who gives money out of love to the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to free the slaves; and who upholds the contact prayer, and who contributes towards purification; and those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in the face of adversity and hardship and when in despair. These are the ones who have been truthful, and these are the righteous.

 and many other verses.

In short, good is all that helps people and evil is all that hurts them]

9:72. Allah has promised the believers -- men and women, -- Gardens under which rivers will abide there forever in it, and magnificent mansions in the gardens of `Adn . And Allah's  approval is the greatest of all blessings. That is the supreme Triumph.

9:73. O Nabi ! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them,  and their abode is Hell, --  a miserable destination.

9:74.  They swear by Allah that they said nothing , but really they said the word of disbelief, and they disbelieved after accepting  submitted(Islam), and they resolved that which they were unable to carry out, and they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and Allah's Messenger (rasool) had enriched them with His bounty. If then they repent, it will be better for them, but if they turn away; Allah will punish them with a painful torment in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. And there is none for them on earth as a protector or a helper.

9:75.  And among them are those who made a convenient with Allah : “If Allah  gives us out of Allah's bounty,  surely we will certainly  spend in charity (Sadaqah)  and will certainly become of the righteous.”

9:76. Then when Allah gave them of Allah's bounty, they became stingy with it  and turned away from their promise.

9:77. So Allah punished them with  hypocrisy in their hearts until the Day when they will meet Allah because they broke covenant with Allah what they had promise with Allah and because they lied.

9:78. Do they not know that Allah knows their secret consultations (Najwa), and that Allah is the All-Knower of all the unseen?.

9:79. Those who criticize the ones  who give willingly of the believers concerning  the charities, and those who could not find  except their effort available to them -- so they ridicule  them; Allah will throw back their redicule on them, and they will have a painful retribution.

9:80. Ask forgiveness for them  or do not ask forgiveness for them --  if ask forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah will never forgive them. That is because they have disbelieved in Allah and Allah's Messenger (Rasool). And Allah do not guide those people who are definitelydis obedient.

9:81. Those who were left behind rejoiced in their staying  away behind the Messenger of Allah; and they disliked to strive with their wealth and their lives in the way of Allah, and they said: “Do not go forth in the heat.” Say: "The fire of Hell is more intense in heat;" if only they could understand!

9:82.  So let them laugh a little and cry a lot as a recompense of what they used to earn.

9:83. If Allah returns you back to a group of them, and they ask your permission to go out , then say: “Never  shall you go forth with me nor fight an enemy  together with me! You were satisfied with sitting on the first occasion, then you sit  with those who stay behind.”

9:84.  And you not pray for any of them who dies, nor stand at his grave. They disbelieved in Allah and Allah's Messenger, and died while they were  disobedient(Fasiqun).

9:85.  Do not be impressed impress by their wealth and their children.  Allah only wants to punish them with these things in this world, and will  depart the soul while they are disbelievers.

[9:55. So do not be impressed by their wealth, or their children.Allah only intends to punish them with  in the  world life, so that  their lives will end while they are disbelievers.

Hoarding of wealth and taking pride in children, party and possessions cause people to ignore Divine laws in their daily lives, and thus, they become a tribulation for them.

2:195.And spend in the cause of Allah, but do not throw your resources to disaster. And do good, for Allah loves those who do good.

8:28. And know that your wealth and your children are  a test for you. And that with Allah  there is a greatest reward.

18:32. Give them the example of two men. We made for one of them two gardens of grapes, We surrounded them with palm trees, and We made between them a green field.

63:9. O you who acknowledge, do not be distracted by your money and your children from the remembrance of Allah. Those who do this, will be the losers.

68:14. Even though he possessed enough money and children.

57:20. Know that this worldly life is no more than play and amusement, and boasting among you, and an increase in wealth and children. It is like plants that are supplied by an abundant rain, which appear pleasing to those who do not appreciate. But then they dry up and turn yellow, and become useless hay. In the Hereafter there is severe retribution, and forgiveness from Allah and approval. This worldly life is no more than a deceiving enjoyment.]

9:86. And when  was revealed a Surah, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive  along with Allah's Messenger, those with wealth among them ask your leave to exempt them and say, “Leave us with those who will sit back (at home).”

9:87. They were satisfied to be with those who stay behind. Their hearts were sealed, so  they do not understand.

[that fear can only be overcome with action

2:277. Those who believe and do good works, and hold the salat, and contribute towards purification (zakat); they will have their recompense with their Rabb and there is no fear over them nor will they grieve.

6:48.We have sent the Messengers only to give good news and to warn. Those who attain belief, mend their ways and work for social equity fulfilling the needs of others, will have nothing to fear nor will they have any regrets.

6:81. He said, “Why should I fear what you set up besides Him, when you do not fear to set up besides, Allah, deities for which He has sent no authority and are utterly powerless.*Think, which of the two sides among us deserves peace and security?*Answer me if you have the answer.”].

9:88. But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove with their wealth and their lives. And these have deserved all the good things, and it is they who will be successful.

9:89.  Allah has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow. There shall they abide forever in it. That is the great success.

9:90. Many of the bedouins Arab and  came to you seeking permission to stay behind.  Those who lied to Allah and Allah's Messenger- they stay behind. Those who disbelieved from them will be inflicted with a painful punishment.

9:91.There is no blame on those who are weak or sick and the ones who have no means to offer, so long as they are sincere  to Allah and Allah's Messenger. There is no argument against the  good doers.

*And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.*

[48:17. There is no burden on the blind, nor is there any burden on the cripple, nor is there on the sick any burden. Whosoever obeys Allah and Allah's messenger, He will admit them into paradises with rivers flowing beneath; and whosoever turns away, He will punish him with a painful retribution.]

9:92. Nor is there any blame on those who came to you  be provided with mounts, when you said: “I do not  have any mounts for you,” they turned back, with their eyes flowing with the  tears of sorrow that they could not find anything to spend.

9:93. The blame is on those who ask your permission while they were rich. They are satisfied to be with those  who stay behind  and Allah  sealed is on their hearts so that they do not know.

9:94.They  will make excuses to you, when you have return to them. Say do not make excuses, we will never believe you. Allah has informed us about you and "Allah will see your deeds and Allah's Messenger. Then  you will be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, then Allah will inform you of what you used to do.”

9:95. They will swear by Allah to you  when you return to them, that you may turn away from them. So turn away from them. Surely, they are (Rijs) impure, and their destiny is Hell  as a recompense for what they used to earn.

[9:125. As for those who have a disease in their hearts, it only increased foulness to their foulness, and they died as ingrates.]

9:96. They swear to you that you may be pleased with them, but if you are pleased with them, indeed Allah is not pleased with the people who are (Fasiqin) definitely disobedient.

[9:23-24. O believers!  Do not Take as  your fathers and your brothers as befriend if they prefer disbelief to belief. And whoever take them befriend , then those they are the  wrongdoers.

Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives and wealth that you have gained, and the commerce you fear a decline in it, and the dwellings in which you delight in it are more beloved to you than Allah and Allah's Messenger , and fighting for Allah cause, then wait until Allah brings command to pass. Allah does not guide the evil-doers.]

9:97. The arabs are the worst in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely that they not know the limits of what  Allah has revealed to Allah's Messenger. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:98. And among these  arabs there are some who look upon what they spend as a loss and wait for you the turns of misfortune  upon them  will be the turn of the evil. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

9:99. And of the arabs there are some who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look upon what they spend  as means of nearness with Allah, and a means of supporting  the Messenger. Indeed it is  a means of nearness for them. Allah will admit them to Allah's mercy. Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

9:100.  And the foremost among the emigrants (Muhajirin) and the helpers (Ansar) and those who followed them in righteousness(noble deeds). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Allah. Allah has prepared for them Gardens under which river flow; therein they will abide forever. That is the great truimph.

[Muhaajireen = Emigrants from Makkah. Ansaar = Those who hosted them in Madinah. Radhi-Allahu ’anhum wa radhu ‘Anh also translates as, “Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him.”]

9:101. And among those around you of the bedouins(Al arabi) are hypocrites, and also from the people of Al-Madinah.

[They persist in the hypocrisy; You do not know them, We know them. We will punish them twice, then they will be returned to a great punishment.]

9:102. And others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed a righteous deeds(good work)  with another that was evil(bad). Perhaps Allah will turn to them in mercy. Surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[ Let the believers adopt the Divine Attributes in their human capacity.

2:103. And had they believed and been righteous, it would have brought them a recompense with Allah which is far better if only they knew!]

9:103. Take from their wealth  a charity to purify them and cause them to grow in purity and pray(wasali) for them; behold, thy prayer(salataka) will becomfort to them. Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

9:104. They do not know that it is Allah accepts repentance from Allah's servants and accepts the charities(Sadaqat), and that Allah alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

9:105. And say "Do deeds! Allah will see your deed, and Allah's Messenger and the believers. And you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Then Allah will inform you of what you used to do."

[7:7.We will tell to them with knowledge; We were not absent.]

9:106. And others are waiting for the Allah's Decree, whether Allah will t punish them or  Allah will forgive them. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

[Their matter is under investigation by the State. Divine laws are based on knowledge and wisdom.

*9:118. Also upon the three who were left behind until the land, as vast as it is, became strained to them, and their very selves became strained; they thought there is no shelter from Allah except to Him. Then He pardoned them that they might repent. Allah is the Redeemer, the Compassionate.]

9:107. And those who take a Masjid by way of harm and disbelief and to division among the believers and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and Allah's Messenger before. And surely they will swear that their intention is nothing except the good. But Allah bears witness surely that they are liars.

9:108.  Do not stand therein. A Masjid foundation from the first day on the righteous (Taqwa) is more worthy that you stand therein . In it are men who love that  purify themselves. And Allah loves the ones who purify themselves.

[6:160. Whoever comes with a good deed, he will receive ten times its worth, and whoever comes with a sin, he will only be recompensed its like; they will not be wronged.]

9:109. Is it then he who laid the foundation of his building on righteous (Taqwa) to Allah and Allah's pleasure better, or one who  foundation of Allah's building on edge  of a cliff ready to crumble down, so that it crumbled to pieces with him into the Hellfire. And Allah does not  guide a people who displace who right with wrong.

9:110.  Not will cease their building which they built  a cause of doubt in their hearts except that are cut into pieces their hearts. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

[A building that divides believers will remain a source of unrest in the hearts of the sectarians until their hearts stop beating]

9:111. Indeed, Allah has purchased of the believers their lives  and their wealth because for  that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in the way of Allah', so they kill and are killed. It is a promise which in truth Allah has willed upon himself  in the Tawrah and the Injil and the Qur’an. And who is more truthful to his promise of Allah, then have good news of the deal which you have concluded. Ans that is the great success.

9:112.  Those who repent, who servers, who praise  who fast, who bow down, who prostrate themselves, who enjoin good and forbid evil, and who observe the limits of  Allah. And give glad tidings to the believers.

[3:104.And let there be a nation from among you who calls towards goodness, and orders kindness, and prohibits vice. And these are the successful ones.l

33:35. Surely, the peacefully surrendering men, and the peacefully surrendering women, the acknowledging men, and the acknowledging women, the obedient men, and the obedient women, the truthful men, and the truthful women, the patient men, and the patient women, the humble men, and the humble women, the charitable men, and the charitable women, the fasting men, and the fasting women, the men who guard their private parts, and the women who similarly guard, and the men who commemorate Allah frequently, and the commemorating women; Allah has prepared for them a forgiveness and a great recompense.*

66:5. It may be that he would divorce you, then his Rabb will substitute other wives in your place who are better than you; peacefully surrendering, acknowledging, devout, repentant, serving, active in their societies, responsive, and foremost ones.]

9:113. It is not  for the Prophet and those who believe that they ask Allah's forgiveness for the polytheists (Mushrikin), even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are  the companions of the Fire .

9:114. Ibrahim asked  forgiveness for his father  because of a promise that he had made to him (his fatherr). But when it became clear to  Ibrahim that his father was an enemy of Allah, he dissociated from him. Indeed, Ibrahim was Compassionate  forbearing.

[14:41. "Our Rabb, forgive me and my parents, and those who acknowledge on the day the reckoning is called."*

19:47. He said, "Peace be upon you, I will ask forgiveness for you from my Rabb. Allah has been most kind to me." ]

9:115.  And Allah will never misead a people after Allah guided them until Allah makes clear to them what they should be aware. Allah is the All-Knower of everything.

9:116.  Indeed  Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, Allah gives life and Allah causes death. And besides Allah you have neither any protector nor any helper.

9:117. Allah has forgiven the Prophet, the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of difficulties, after the hearts of a party of them had nearly deviated , but Allah accepted their repentance  them. Allah is Compassionate towards them  Most Merciful.

[Muhaajireen = Emigrants. Ansaar = Those who host and support them]

9:118.  And the three who were left behind, until for them the earth, vast as it is, became straitened to them and their souls became straitened for them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah, and no refuge but with Him . Then, Allah forgave them, that they may repent. Allah is the accepting of repentance, Most Merciful.

[ 9:106. And others are waiting for the Allah's Decree, whether Allah will t punish them or  Allah will forgive them. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

9:43. May Allah forgive you. Why did you grant them permission stay behind, before you could distinguish those who are truthful from the liars.

According to the ever fallible history, the three who had stayed behind: Ka’b bin Maalik, Mararah bin Rabee’, Hilal bin Umayyah]

9:119.  O you who believe!  Be aware (Taqwa ) of Allah, and be with those who are truthful (in words and deeds).

9:120.  It was neither befitting for the people of Al-Madinah and the arabians of the neighborhood they remain behind after the Messenger of Allah  and nor to prefer their own lives to his life. That is because they does not afflict them thirst and not fatigue and not hunger  in the way of Allah, nor they take any step to raise the anger of disbelievers nor inflict any injury upon an enemy, but it is written to their credit as a  righteous deeds . Allah  does not allow to be lost the reward of the  gooddoers.

[Muhsin = A benefactor of humanity = One who serves people = Whoever helps the creation = A doer of good. Anger during combat deters sound planning. Muhsin, in this sense, may refer to the one engaged in benign aggression self-defense as opposed to malignant aggression unjust war.]

9: 121. Neither do they spend any contribution -- small or great -- nor across a valley, but it is written to their credit that Allah may recompense them with the best of what they used to do.

9:122. And it is not  for the believers to go out  all together. Of  every group of believers let some of them come forth, that they may  obtain understanding in deen(the Quranic system of life), and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may beware.

9:123. O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you; and know that Allah is with those who have righteous.

9:124. And whenever is revealed a Surah, some of them say: “Which one of you has  increased in faith”? As for those who believe, it has increased their faith, and they rejoice.

9:125. But as for those in their hearts is a disease, it increase them in foulness to their foulness. And they die while they are disbelievers(refusing to acknowledge the truth).

9:126. Do they not see that they are tired in every year  once or twice ?Yet still they do not  repent, nor do they take heed.

[Tested at your hands. 9:14. Fight them. Allah will punish them by your hands and  humiliate them and give you victory over them, and  heal the hearts of the believers ,].

9:127. And whenever is revealed a Surah, they look at one another (saying): “Does anyone see you” Then they turn away whenever. Allah has turned away their hearts because they are people that do not understand.

9:128.  There has come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grieves to him is what you suffer;  Allah is concerned over you  and to the believers is kind and merciful.

9:129.  But if they turn away, they say: “Allah is sufficient for me. There is no God except Allah , in Allah I put my trust and He is the Rabb of the Mighty Throne.”
