SURAH HUD 61 - 123

QURAN TAFSIR ( QURAN AS IT EXPLAIN ITSELF)

SURAH HUD

In the Name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

11:61. And to Thamud We sent their brother Salih. He said, "O my people! Serve Allah, not you have any god other than Allah. Allah produced you from the earth and settled you in it. So ask forgiveness of Allah, then repentance to Allah . Indeed, my Rabb is near, All-Responsive".

11:62. They said, O Salih! Verily you were among us the one in whom hope were placed before this. Do you forbid us that we worship what worshipped our forefathers? And indeed we surely are in doubt about what you call us to it, suspicious.

11:63.  He said, "O my people! Do you see, if I am on a clear proof from my Rabb, and Allah has given me from Allah's Mercy  then who will then help me against Allah, if I disobey Allah? So  you do not increase to  me other than loss.

11:64.  And O my people! This will be Allah's she-camel  for you a Sign, so leave her to eat in  Allah's earth, and do not touch her with evil, for then  a near punishment should seize you.

[91:13. Allah's messenger said to them: "This is Allah's camel, let her drink."

55:10. And the earth has Allah spread out for all living beings.

6:141. And Allah is the One Who initiated gardens; both trellised and untrellised; and palm trees, and plants, all with different taste; and olives and pomegranates, similar and not similar. Eat from its fruit when it blossoms and give its due on the day of its harvest; and do not waste. He does not like the wasteful.*]

11:65.  But they slew her. So he said, "Enjoy yourselves in your home for three days, that is a promise not to be belied."*

[‘Aqarooha = They hamstrung her. Severing the hamstrings of a camel leads to a quick demise, therefore, ‘they hamstrung her’ = ‘They killed her’]

11:66.  So when came Our command We saved Salih, and those who believed with him by Mercy from Us, and from the disgrace of that Day. Indeed, your Rabb, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

11:67. And seized those who wronged, the thunderous blast then they became in their homes fallen prone.

11:68. As if not they had prospered therein. Now surely, indeed, samood disbelieved in their Rabb, now surely away with samood.

11:69. And certainly came Our messengers to Ibrahim with glad tidings. They said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and not he delayed to bring a calf roasted.

11:70. But when he saw their hands not reaching to it, he felt unfamiliar of them and felt apprehension from them a fear. They said, "Do not fear. Indeed, we have been sent to the people of Lut."

11:71. And his wife was standing and she laughed. Then We gave her glad tidings of Ishaq, and from after Ishaq of  Yaqub.

11:72. She said, "Woe to me ! Shall I bear a child while I am an old woman and this, my husband is an old man? Indeed, this is surely a amazing thing.

11:73. They said, "Are you amazed at the  decree of Allah? The Mercy of Allah and Allah's blessings be on you, people of the house. Indeed, Allah is All-Praiseworthy, All-Glorious."

11:74. And when had gone away from Ibrahim the fright, and had reached him the glad tidings, he argued with Us, concerning the people of Lut.

11:75. Indeed, Ibrahim was certainly forbearing, imploring, and oft-returning.

11:76. O Ibrahim! Turn away from this. Indeed, it certainly has come, the Command of your Rabb and indeed, they will come for them a punishment which cannot be repelled.

11:77. And when came Our messengers to Lut, he was distressed for them and felt straitened for them and uneasy, and said, "This is a  distressful day."

11:78. And came to him his people rushing to him, and already they did evil deeds. He said, "O my people! These are my daughters, they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me with regard to my guests; Is there not among you one man right-minded?"

11:79. They said, "Verily you know that we have no claim on your daughters.,and indeed, you know well what we want."

11:80. He said, "If that I had over you power or I could take refuge in a strong support ."

11:81. They said, "O Lut! Indeed, we are messengers of your Rabb, never they will reach you. So travel with your family in a part of the night and let not look back anyone of you, except your wife. Indeed, it will strike her what will strike them. Indeed, their appointed time is the morning. Is not the morning near?"

11:82. So when came Our Command, We made its upside, its downside, and We rained upon them stones of baked clay in layers.

11:83. Marked from your Rabb. And it is not from the wrongdoers very far.

11:84.  And to Madyan, their brother Shuaib. He said, "O my people! Serve Allah, you have no any god other than Allah. And do not decrease from the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you punishment of an all-encompassing day.

11:85. And O my people! Give full measure, and weight in justice and do not cheat the people out of their rights, and do not spread corruptly in the land by spreading corruption.

11:86. What remains from Allah is best for you, if you are believers. And  I am not  over you a guardian."

11:87. They said, "O Shuaib! Does your salah command you that we leave what worship our forefathers, or that we do concerning our wealth what we will? Indeed you,  you are the forbearing, the right-minded."

11:88. He said, "O my people! Do you see if I am on a clear evidence from my Rabb, and Allah has provided me with good provision from Himself .And I do not desire that in opposition to you. I should  bektake myself to that which i forbid you. Not I intend except the reform from as much as I am able  and  with none but Allah is the direction  of my affair to a right  issue ;on Allah do I rely and to Allah do I turn.

11:89. And O my people! Let not your  dissension from me drive lest you into sin, lest there befall you the like of what befell the people of Nuh or the people of Hud or the people of Salih. And the people of Lut  are not from you far away.

11:90.  And ask forgiveness of your Rabb, then turn in repentance to Allah. Indeed, my Rabb is Most Merciful, Most Loving.-Kind".

[14:8. Musa said, "If you reject, you and all who are on earth together, yet Allah is Rich, Praiseworthy."]

11:91. They said, "O Shuaib! we do not understand much of what you say, and surely we see you to be weak among us. And if not for your family surely we would have stoned you and  you are not  mighty against us."

11:92. He said, "O my people! Is my family more esteemed  by you than Allah? And you have taken Him, behind your backs. Indeed, my Rabb is All-Encompassing of what you do.

11:93.  And O my people! Work according to your position, indeed, I am working. Soon you will know on whom will come a punishment that will disgrace him, and who he is a liar. And watch you! indeed, I am with you a watcher."

11:94. And when came Our Command, We saved Shuaib and those who believed with him by a Mercy from Us. And seized those who had wronged, the thunderous blast then they became in their homes fallen prone.

11:95. As if not they had prospered therein. So, away with Madyan as was taken away the Thamud.

11:96.  And certainly We sent Musa with Our verse and an clear authority.

11:97. To Firaun and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Firaun, and the command of Firaun, was  not right.

11:98.  He will go ahead of his people on the Day of the Resurrection and  bring them down to the Fire. And evil is the place to which they are brought.

[14:28. Did you not see those who replaced Allahs blessings with rejection, and they caused their people to dwell in the abode of destruction?]

11:99.  And they were followed in this by a curse and on the Day of the Resurrection. Evil the gift which shall be be given.

11:100. That is from the news of the cities which We relate to you; of them, some are standing and others mown down.

11:101.  And not We wronged them but they wronged themselves. So not availed them their Allah whom they called upon beside Allah, any thing, when came the command of your Allah. And not they increased them other than ruin.

11:102.  And thus is the punishment of your Rabb when Allah punishes the cities while they are doing wrong. Indeed, Allah's  punishment is painful, and severe.

11:103.  Indeed, in that is surely a verse for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day will be gathered on it the mankind, and that is a Day that shall be witnessed.

11:104.  And We do not delay it except for a term limited.

11:105. The Day it comes not will speak a soul except by Allah’s leave. Then among them will be the wretched, and the glad.

[36:59. “But stand aside today, O you who were lost in sin!]

11:106.   As for those who were wretched then they will be in the Fire for them therein is sighing, and groaning.

[21:100.  Moaning will be their lot therein, and nothing [else] will they hear therein. ]

11:107.   Abiding therein from as long as remain the heavens and the earth, except from what wills your Rabb. Indeed, your Rabbis All-Accomplisher of what Allah intends.

[14:48. The day the earth is replaced with another earth, as are the heavens, and they will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible.

21:104.  On the day when We roll up the heavens like a scroll of books is rolled up. As We initiated the first creation, so shall We return it. It is a promise of Ours that We will do this.

25:22. On the day they see the controllers, that is not good news for the criminals. They will say, "Away to a place that is sealed off."

39:37. Whomever Allah guides, then there will be none that can mislead him. Is Allah not Almighty, an avenger of evil ?

50:44.  On the Day when the earth is riven asunder all around them as they hasten forth [towards Allah's judgment]: that gathering will be easy for Us [to encompass].

69:16. And the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day.

70:9.  And the mountains will be like tufts of wool.]

11:108.  And as for those who will be glad then they will be in Paradise, will be abiding therein from as long as remains the heavens and the earth, except as your Rabb- a bestowal not interrupted.

11:109. So do not be in doubt as to what worship these polytheists. Not they worship except as what pworshipped their forefathers from before. And indeed, We will surely pay them in full their share without being diminished.

11:110.  And verily We gave Musa the Book, but differences arose therein. And if not for a Word that preceded from your Rabb, surely would have been judged between them. And indeed, they surely are in doubt concerning it suspicious.

11:111.And indeed,  unto each surely will pay them in full your Rabb their deeds. Indeed, Allah is All-aware of all that they do.

11:112. So stand firm as you are commanded and those who turn in repentance with you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah All-Seer all that you do.

11:113. And do not incline to those who do wrong lest touches you the Fire, and you have no guardian besides Allah any protectors; then you will not be helped.

11:114. And establish the salat at the two ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. Indeed, the good deeds remove the evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.

11:115. And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not let go waste the reward of the good-doers.

11:116. So why had not been of the generations from before you those possessing  understanding, who should have forbidding from the corruption in the earth except a few of those We saved among them? But  those who wronged  pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals.

[Zulm = Displacing something from its rightful place = Wrongdoing = Violation of human rights.

Mujrimeen = Criminals = Guilty = Those who thrive on the fruit of others’ toil)

11:117. And  your Rabb would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.

[Muslihoon = Reformers = Those who help their own and fellow humans’ condition = Those who set things right in their environment.

This is one of the most important verses in the Qur’an.

It throws out all dogmatic assertions that are the hallmark of a ‘religion’. As we have seen, Islam is not a ‘religion’,

It is Ad-Deen, the Divinely Prescribed System of Life.]

11:118. And if  your Rabb had pleased surely Allah  have made the people a single community , but they will  not cease to differ.

[5:48.We have sent down to you the book with truth, authenticating what is present of the book and superseding it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, a structure. Had Allah willed, Allah would have made you all one nation, but Allah tests you with what Allah has given you, so advance the good deeds. To Allah you will return all of you, and Allah will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.]

11:119. Except  those on whom has bestowed Mercy your Rabb, and for this did  Allah create them. And  the Word of your Rabb will be fulfilled, "Surely I will fill Hell with the Jinn and the men all together."

11:120. And each(story), We relate to you from the  news of the Messengers for that We may make firm with it your heart. And there has come to you in this, the truth(Qur'an)and an admonition and a reminder to the believers.

11:121. And say to those who do not believe, "Work (Act) according to your position; indeed, we are also working (acting).

11:122. And wait; indeed, we are waiting also.

11:123. And for Allah unseen of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah will be returned the matter, all of it, so serve Allah, and put your trust upon Allah. And your Rabb is not unaware of what you do.

SURAH HUD 1 - 60

QURAN TAFSIR ( QURAN AS IT EXPLAIN ITSELF)*

SURAH HUD

In the Name of ALLAH, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

11:1. Alif Lam Ra. This is a Book, whose Verses are perfected and then explained in detail from One (Allah), Who is All-Wise All-aware.

11:2.  That you shall not serve (any) but Allah. Surely, I am  a warner for you from him a bringer and a giver of good news.

11:3.  And  that “Seek the forgiveness of your Rabb then turn to Allah in repentance, that Allah will let you enjoy a good provision, for a term appointed, and bestow Allah's abounding grace to every owner of grace. But if you turn away then indeed I fear for you the punishment of a Great Day.

11:4. To Allah is your return, and Allah has power over all things.”

11:5. No doubt! They did fold up their breasts, which they may hide from Allah. Surely when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal. Indeed, Allah is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.*

[71:7. "Every time I called on them so that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and they covered their heads with their outer garments and they insisted, and they became greatly arrogant."]

11:6.  And not moving creature is there on earth but that upon Allah is its provision . And Allah knows its dwelling place and its place of storage. Everything is record in a clear book.

[6:99.And He is the One who sent down water from the heaven, and We brought out with it plants of every kind. We brought out from it the green, from which We bring out multiple seeds; and what is from the palm trees, from its sheaths hanging low and near; and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, similar and not similar. Look at its fruit when it blossoms and its ripeness. In this are signs for a people who believe.

55:29. Those in the heavens and earth ask Allah, everyday Allah is in some matter.]

*11:7. And Allah  is the one who  created the heavens and the earth in six era or stages and Allah's Throne was over the water, that Allah might test you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say : “Indeed, You will be raised up after death,” Surely those who disbelieve  “This is would say those who disbelieved. This is nothing but clear magic.”

[45:24. They said, "There is nothing but this worldly life; we die and we live and nothing destroys us except the passing of time!" They have no knowledge about this; they only conjecture.

Six Stages or Eras:

7:54.Your Rabb is Allah who has created the heavens and the earth in six  stages/eras, then He settled upon the Throne.*The night runs away from the day, which seeks it continually; and the sun and the moon and the stars are disposed by Allah command;

10:3. Your Rabb is Allah who has created the heavens and the earth in six stages(eras), then Allah settled upon the Throne; Allah manages all affairs. There is no intercessor except after Allah's permission. Such is Allah your Rabb so serve Allah. Would you not remember?

11:7.He is the One who has created the heavens and the earth in six stages(Eras), and Allah's Throne was upon the water; so as to test who from among you works the best. And when you say: "You will be resurrected after the death," those who have rejected say: "This is but clear magic!".

25:59. The One who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six era or stages, then Allah settled to the throne. The Gracious; so ask Him for Allah is Ever-aware.

50:38. We have created the heavens, the earth and what is between them in six era or stages, and no fatigue touched Us.

57:4. He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six era or stages, and then Allah settled over the dominion. He knows everything that enters into the land, everything that comes out of it, everything that comes down from the sky, and everything that climbs into it. He is with you wherever you may be. Allah is Seer of everything you do.

41:10. Allah placed in it stabilizers from above it, and Allah blessed it and established its provisions in four equal days, to satisfy those who ask.*

‘Sihr’ = Magic = Deception]

11:8.  And if We delay from them the punishment  until a stated period of time, they will certainly to say: “What detains it? ” Now surely on the day when it will comes to them,it will not be turn  away from them, and will be surround them, what they used to mock at it!

11:9. And if We give a man a taste of mercy from Us, then we withdraw it from him, verily, he is despairing and ungrateful.

11:10. But if We let him taste of favor after hardship has touched him,  surely he will say: “have gone the evils from me.” Surely, he is exultant and boastful (ungrateful to Allah).

11:11.  Except those who are patience and do the good deeds: those will be forgiveness and a great reward.

[A’maal Saaleh = Deeds that increase the individual and collective potential of a society = Helping people = Improving the environment = Fulfilling others’ needs = Contributing to the society]

11:12. Then it may be that you give up a part of what is revealed to you, and your breast will  become straitened by it because they say: “Why has not a treasure been sent down upon him, or an angel come with him? You are only a warner. And Allah is a Guardian over all things.

11:13.  Or they say, “He has fabricated it.” Say: “Then Bring ten  verses (Surahs) like it, and call whoever you can beside Allah, if you are truthful!”.

[Or produce one Surah like this* *2:23.And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then bring a chapter like this, and call upon your witnesses other than Allah if you are truthful.

10:38. Or do they say: “He(Messanger) has invented it” Say:  Then “Bring then one Surah like it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful!”.]

11:14. If  they do not answer you, then know that it is sent down with the knowledge of Allah and that there is no god besides Allah!  Then  would you be submit?( Muslims).

11:15.  Whoever is desires the life of the world and its adornments, We shall pay in full to them for their deeds therein, and they will not be a lessened therein.

[17:18. Whoever seeks the life of haste, We will hasten for Him what he wishes, then We will make hell for him a place which he will reach disgraced and rejected.]

11:16.  These are they for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter except the Fire. And lost is vain  what they did therein. And is worthless what they used to do.

11:17.  Is he then who has with him clear proof from his Rabb, and  a witness from Him recites (follows) it; And before it is the Book of Musa, as a guide and as mercy? Such people do believe in this guidance (in the Quran), but those who disbelieves (in the Quran)  of the sects then the Fire will be their promised meeting place. Thus have no  doubt about it ( the Qur'an). Indeed, it is the truth from your Rabb, but most of the peoples  do not believe.

[‘Tilawat’ = Reciting and following the Qur’an.‘

Imam’ = Standard of truth = Literally, the plumb-line = A trustworthy leader, human or book = Authority = Decisive means]

11:18.  And who is more unjust  than he who invents a lie against Allah? Those will be presented against their Rabb, and will say the  witnesses. “These are the ones who lied against their Rabb!” No doubt: The curse of Allah against the wrongdoers.

[The clergy have tampered with previous scriptures, and they will keep doing it.

2:79. So woe to those who write the Book with their hands then say: "This is from Allah," so that they can purchase with it a cheap price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they gained.

2:101.  And when a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know.

3:77.  The ones who purchase with the pledge of Allah and their oaths a cheap price, those will have no portion in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful retribution.

5:48. We have sent down to you the book with truth, authenticating what is present of the book and superseding it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, a structure. Had Allah willed, He would have made you all one nation, but He tests you with what He has given you, so advance the good deeds. To Allah you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.

6:113.  That is so the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter listen to such fabrications, let them delight in it, and  that they may earn what they are earning.

6:138.  And they said: "These livestock and crops are reserved, and none shall eat from them except as we please," by their claims; and livestock whose backs are unlawful, and livestock over which they do not mention the name of Allah as an innovation against Him. He will recompense them for what they invented.

9:34. O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the Ahbar (rabbis) and the Ruhban (monks) who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah, announce unto them a painful punishment.

22:52. We did not send before you any messenger or prophet, without having the devil* *interfere with his wishes. Allah then overrides what the devil has cast, and Allah secures Allah's igns. Allah is Knower, Wise].

11:19.  Those who prevent others from the way of Allah, and desire to make it crooked; and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter.

11:20.  Those will not he able to escape in the earth, and nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their punishment will be doubled for them! They will not  be able to hear, nor did they see.

11:21. Those are the ones who have lost their souls , and lost from them is what they used to invent.

11:22.  No doubt that they in the Hereafter will be the greatest losers.

11:23.  Verily, those who believe and do good deeds, and humble themselves before their Rabb, those are the companions of Paradise  wherein they will live forever.

11:24.  The examples of the two parties is likes the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in comparison? Then you will not  take heed.

[13:16-19. Say, "Who is the Lord of the heavens and earth," Say, "Allah." Say, "Have you taken besides Him allies who do not possess for themselves any benefit or harm?" Say, "Is the blind and the seer the same? Or, does the darkness and the light equate?" Or have they made partners with Allah who have created like His creation, so the creations all seemed the same to them? Say, "Allah has created all things, and He is the One, the Supreme."

Allah sent down water from the sky, so valleys flowed according to their capacity, and the flood produces foam. From what they burn to smelt jewelry or goods similar foam is produced. It is in such a manner that Allah strikes the falsehood with the truth. As for the foam, it passes away; as for what benefits the people, it remains in the earth. It is such that Allah cites the examples.

For those who responded to their Rabb is goodness. As for those who did not respond to Him, if they had all that is in the earth twice over, they would offer it to be saved. To these will be a terrible reckoning, and their abode is hell; what a miserable abode.

Is one who knows that the truth has been sent down to you from your Rabb like one who is blind? Only those with understanding will remember.

35:39. Allah is the One who made you successors on the earth. Subsequently, whoever rejects, then to him is his rejection. The rejection of those who do not appreciate only increases their Rabb abhorrence towards them. The rejection of those who do not appreciate only increases their loss.

A brief historical resume of some communities and their Messengers illustrates this phenomenon - the efforts of the Messengers and the reaction of their respective people. Using Tasreef, here are some related verses about people and their Messengers described in Surah Hud.

Nuh to the Valleys of Tigris and Euphrates:

7:69, 10:72, 14:9, 21:76, 23:23, 26:109, 29:14, 71:21.

11:25.  And indeed We sent Nuh to his people (saying): “Indeed, I am to you a clear warner.”

11:26. "That you shall not serve except Allah; Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a painful day."

11:27.  But The chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: “We see you but a man like us, and do not we see any have followed you but those who are the lowest of us at first thought. Thus we do not think that you are superior to us, rather you are liars.”

[17:70.We have honored the Children of Adam and carried them in the land and the sea, and We have provided for them of the good things, and We have preferred them over many of those We created.]

11:28.  He said: “O my people! Do you see, if I was an clear proof from my Rabb and he has granted  me mercy from Himself, but it has been obscured from your sight. Shall we compel you (to accept) it while you are averse to it.

11:29.  And O my people! I ask of you  for it any wealth, my reward is from none except Allah. And I am not going to drive away those who have believed. Surely, they will  be meeting their Rabb, I know that you are ignorant people.

11:30.  And O my people! Who will help me against Allah, if I drive them away?. Then Will  you not then mind?.*

11:31.  And I do not say to you that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor that I know the unseen; nor do I say I am an angel, and I do not say of those whom your eyes look down upon that Allah will not give them any reward. Allah knows  best what is in their souls. Then will be surely of the wrongdoers.

11:33. He said: “Only Allah will bring it on you, if Allah wills, and  you will not escape.

11:34. "And my advice will not benefit you, even if I wished to give good advice, if Allah wants to let you go astray. Allah is your Rabb! and  you will be return to Allah."

[Allah has appointed laws for guidance e.g. making good use of our senses and reflecting with an open mind.

4:88. What is the matter with you that you are divided into two groups over the hypocrites, while Allah has allowed them to regress for what they have earned? Do you want to guide those whom Allah misguides? Whoever Allah causes to be misguided, you will never find for him a way.]

11:37. “And construct the ship under Our Eyes and with Our inspiration, and do not address me on behalf of those who have wronged; they are surely to be drowned.”

[A flood in the valley of Tigris and Euphrates was brewing. The rejecters would drown for not heeding the Prophet.

23:27.So We inspired him: "Construct the Ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command comes and the volcano erupts, then you shall take on the Ship two from every pair, and your family; except for those of them upon whom the word has come. Do not address Me regarding those who have done wrong, for they will be drowned."

11:44.  It was said, "O land, swallow your water, and O sky, cease." The water was diminished, and the matter concluded. It came to rest on the Judi, and it was said, "Away with the wicked people."]

[11:45.Nuh called on his Rabb, and he said, "My Rabb, my son is from my family, and your promise is the truth, and you are the Wisest of all Judges."

66:10. Allah cites as examples of those who have rejected, the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut. They were married to two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed them and, consequently, they could not help them at all against Allah. It was said, "Enter the fire, both of you, with those who will enter it."

Nuh's wife and son did not embark]

11:41. And he said: “Embark in it, in the Name of Allah will be its course and its  anchorage. Surely, my Rabb is Oft-Forgiving,All- Merciful.”

11:42.  Ans it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Nuh called out to his son, who kept away from them, “O my son! Embark with us. Do not be with the disbelievers.”

11:43.  The son replied: “I will take myself to some mountain, it will save me from the water.” Nuh said: “There is no protector today  from the command of Allah except on whom Allah's mercy.” And waves came in between them, so he was among the drowned.

11:44.  And it was said: “O earth! Swallow up your water, and O sky! Withhold.” And the water was made to subside and Allah's command had been  fulfilled. And it rested on the Judi. And it was said: “Away with the people who are wrongdoers!”

11:45.  And Nuh called to his Rabb and said, “O my Rabb! Verily, my son is of my family! And indeed: Your promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges."

11:46.  Allah said: "O Nuh! Surely, he is not of your family; indeed, his work is unrighteous, so do not ask me about that which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you be among the ignorant."

[The Divine Criterion of relationships is based on Ideology and not on lineage.

49:13. O people, We created you from a male and female, and We made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely, the most honorable among you in the sight of God is the most righteous. God is Knowledgeable, Ever-aware]

11:47. Nuh said: “O my Rabb! I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and you have mercy on me, I will be among the losers.”

11:48.  It was said: "O Nuh! Go down with peace from Us and blessings on you and on the nation from those  with you, but to other nations: We will grant  enjoyment, then there  will touch them from us a painful punishment".

11:51. O my people, I do not ask you for it any reward. My reward is only with one who created me; do you not  then understand?

11:52.  And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Rabb, then turn in repentance to Allah. Allah will send from the sky rain upon you in abundance and increase you in strength added to your strength. And do not turn away as criminals."

11:53. They said, "O Hud!  You have not brought to us clear proofs, and we will not leave our gods on your saying, and  we are not believers in you.

11:54.  All that we say,  except that have seized you some of our gods with evil." He said, "Indeed, I  call Allah to witness and you bear witness that? I am free  from  whatever you associate with Allah.

11:55. Other than Allah. So plot against me all together, then give me no respite.

11:56.  Indeed, I  put my trust upon Allah my Rabb, and your Rabb. There is not living creature but that Allah holds its forelock. Indeed, my Rabb is on  the  right path.

11:57.  So if you turn away, then verily I have conveyed to you what I was sent with [it] to you. And  my Rabb will give succession to a people in your place, and you cannot do Allah any harm. Indeed, my Rabb is Guardian over all things.

11:58. And when  Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by a Mercy from Us and We delivered them from a punishment severe.

11:59.  And this was Aad, they rejected the Signs of their Rabb and disobeyed: Allah's Messengers and followed the command of every tyrant obstinate (oppressor of the truth from their leaders).

11:60.  And they were followed in this world with a curse and on the Day of the Resurrection. No doubt! Indeed, Aad disbelieved their rab , now surely, away with Aad, the people of Hud.
