2: 134. That is a nation that has passed away; to them is what they have earned, and to you is what you have earned; and you will not be asked regarding what they did.
[The dogmas of the “Chosen People”, “Original Sin” and “Blood Atonement” were invented by the followers of these Prophets.
But the Divine law stresses individual responsibility.
Every person is accountable only for one’s own actions.
6:164. Say: "Shall I seek other than God as a Rabb when He is the Rabb of everything?" And every soul earns what is for it, and none will carry the burden of another. Then to your Rabb is your return and He will inform you of what you disputed in.
39:7. If you reject, then know that Allah is in no need of you, and He is displeased with rejection for His servants. And if you are thankful, He is pleased with it for you. And none shall carry the burdens of another. Then to your Rabb is your return, and He will inform you of everything you had done. He is fully aware of what is in the chests.
53:38- 39. None can carry the burdens of another.
Every human being shall be responsible for his own works and compensated for his labor.]
2:135. And they said: "Be Jewish or Nazarenes so that you may be guided!" Say: "No, rather the creed of Abraham, monotheism; for he was not of the polytheists."
[And he was neither a Jew nor a Christian.
3:67. ABRAHAM was NEITHER a JEW NOR a CHRISTAIN, but he was an upright man who had SURRENDERED to ALLAH. He never ascribed divinity to anyone beside the One True Allah.*
Mushrik = Idolater = Pagan = Anyone who ascribes divinity to other than the One True Allah = Who associates partners with Him = Who prefers manmade tenets = Who worships idols in any form such as statues, own desires, forces in Nature, any of Allah creation = One who uncritically follows what others do = A blind follower = One who considers men as authorities instead of the Divine revelation = Anyone who makes lists of Halaal permissible and Haraam forbidden from outside the Qur’an = One who believes in clergy against the Divine revelation = Who adores saints, political or religious leaders = Who bows or prostrates physically or mentally before a creation = Who promotes books, dogmas and tenets contrary to the Qur’an. Shirk = The act of being a Mushrik]
2:136. Say: "We believe in Allah and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Yaqub, and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Musa and Isa, and what was given to the prophets from their Rabb; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we submit."
[ 2:79.So woe to THOSE WHO WRITE the BOOK WITH THEIR HANDA then say: "THIS IS FROM ALLAH," so that they can purchase with it a cheap price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they gained.
2:101.And when a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know.
3:78. And from among them is a GROUP WHO TWIST THEIR TONGUES with the Book so that you may think it is from the Book, while it is not from the BOOK, and THEY SAY IT IS FROM ALLAH WHILS IT IS NOT FROM ALLAH, and THEY SAY ABOUT Allah LIES while they know.
3:187. And Allah took the covenant of those who were given the Book: "You will make it clear to the people and not conceal it." But they placed it behind their backs and purchased with it a cheap price. Miserable indeed is what they have purchased.
5:48. And We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between your hands of the Book and superseding it. So judge between them by what Allah has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, and a structure; and if Allah had willed, He would have made you all one nation, but HE TESTS YOU with WHAT HE HAS GIVEN YOU; so strive to do good. To Allah you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.
Asbaat = The Prophets raised among the twelve Israelite Tribes, frequently called the Patriarchs. ‘No distinction’ = All of them were commissioned by Allah and they were one in purpose, although their times and places varied. They were given the message emphasizing the social needs of their respective nations. Humanity is now able to receive the Final revelation that embraces all truth and sorts out the human touch in the previous scriptures.
2:75.Did you expect that they would believe with you, when a group of them had heard the words of Allah then altered them knowingly after having understood?
2:78,.And among them are Gentiles who do not know the Book except by hearsay, and they only conjecture.
2:101. And when a messenger came to them from Allah, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know.
3:70. "O people of the Book, why do you reject the revelations of God while you are bearing witness?"
3:78,.And from among them is a group who twist their tongues with the Book so that you may think it is from the Book, while it is not from the Book, and they say it is from Allah while it is not from Allah, and they say about Allah lies while they know.
3:186. We will test you in your wealth and in yourselves, and you will hear from those who have been given the Book from before you and from the polytheists much annoyance. And if you are patient and righteous, then that is from a strength of conviction.
5:13. But because of them breaking their covenant, We have cursed them, and made their hearts become hardened; they take the words out of context; and they forgot much of what they were reminded of. And you will still discover betrayal in them except for a few; so pardon them and overlook; Allah loves the good doers.
5:41. O messenger, do not be saddened by those who increase in disbelief from among those who said: "We believe" with their mouths while their hearts did not believe. And from among those who are Jewish, there are those who listened to lies; they listened to people who never came to you; they distort the words from their context, and they say: "If you are given this, then take it, but if you are given anything different, then beware!" And whoever Allah wants to test, then you will not possess anything for him against Allah. These are the ONES WHOSE HEARTS ALLAH DID NOT WANT TO CLEANSE; in this world they will have humiliation, and in the Hereafter they will have a great retribution.
6:91.And they did not appreciate Allah as He deserves to be appreciated, for they said: "Allah has never sent down anything to any human being." Say: "Who then has sent down the Book which Musa had come with, a light and a guidance for the people? You treat it simply as paper for display, and you conceal much; and you were taught what neither you nor your fathers knew." Say: "Allah has." Then leave them playing in their folly.
9:31. They have setup their relogious Leaders and scholars as Rabb and Monks to be patrons besides Allah, and the Messiah, son of Mariyam while they were only commanded to serve One Allah, there is no god except He, be He glorified against what they set up.
'No distinction' also indicates that we do not deny some and accept some of the Prophets named in the Qur’an. A misconception recently trying to hold grounds should probably be addressed here: It is Allah alone Who is Impeccable and there is none like unto Him. And no two human beings are identical in every respect. The Apostles of Allah were made to excel one another concerning their specific duties relevant to the times and places of their advent.
"We have caused some of them to excel others."
2:253. Such messengers, We have preferred some over others; some of them talked to Allah, and He raised some of them in rank, and We gave Isa, son of Mariyum, the clear proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. And had Allah wished, the people after them would not have fought after the proofs had come to them, but they disputed, some of them believed and some of them rejected. If Allah had wished they would not have fought, but Allah does what He pleases.
"But, We caused some Prophets to excel the others."
*17:55. And your Rabb is best Aware of all beings who are in the highs and the lows. We caused some Prophets to excel the others. To Dawud We gave a Book of wisdom1*
*However, they were all one in purpose, so we make no distinction among them on that account, and we do not accept some and deny some of them]
2: 137. So, if they believe exactly as you have believed, then they are guided; but if they turn away, then they are in opposition and Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the Hearer, the Knower.
2:138 Such is the coloring (Deen e islam) of Allah, and who is better than Allah in coloring? And to Him we are in service.
[Color (deen e islam) of Allah = We take our hue from Allah.
Nearest to Allah are those who have adopted His Sibghah = Hue or Color = His attributes in the human capacity.
83:28. A spring from which those who are brought near(to Allah) will drink.
That means adopting the Divine Attributes in our limited human capacity such as: kindness – empathy - creativity – mercy - forgiveness – turning to people in love and affection – attaining wisdom - kindness - effort - concealment of sins - justice - bounteousness - generosity - greatness - love - glory - dignity - insight - and all other goodness and beauty are attributes of Allah.
Knowledge learning – compassion – clemency – taking care - peacefulness – remaining aware – sense of duty - determination – honesty – protecting others – generosity – unity - self-control – leniency - approachability - appreciation – moral strength – patience - showing light – guiding - independence – truthfulness – maintenance of people and things – keeping pledges – resolve – benefiting others – beautiful designing – providing – listening – observing – being worthy of trust – nobility of character – giving – and sense of responsibility. Interestingly, people can make a self-assessment by this spectrum as to where they stand on the ascending ladder of Tazkiah self-actualization or personal development]
2: 139. Say: "Do you debate with us regarding Allah? He is our Rabb and your Rabb, and we have our works and you have your works, and to Him we are believers."
[The criterion of honor in the Sight of Allah is character, and not race, color, nationality, religion or genealogy.
Some people think that Allah is only interested in the Children of Israel when He is the Rabb of all humanity.
And some think that Allah begot a son and sacrificed him to forgive their sins. But it is the Law of Requital that is operative in the entire Universe.
So, there is no such thing as “Original Sin”. Every human being is born with a clean slate and is accountable only for one’s own doings.
1:1.In the name of God, the Almighty, the most Merciful.
2:111. And they said: "None shall enter the Paradise except those who are Jewish or Nazarenes;" this is what they wish! Say: "Bring forth your proof if you are truthful."
2:123. And beware of a Day when no soul can avail another soul, nor will any amendment be accepted from it, nor will any intercession help it; they will not be supported.
2:135. And they said: "Be Jewish or Nazarenes so that you may be guided!" Say: "No, rather the creed of Abraham, monotheism; for he was not of the polytheists."
2:211. Ask the Children of Israel how many clear signs did We give them? And whoever changes the grace of Allah after it has come to him, then Allah is Mighty in retribution.
17:70. And We have honored the Children of Adam and carried them in the land and the sea, and We have provided for them of the good things, and We have preferred them over many of those We created in a marked preference.
49:13. O people, We created you from a male and female, and We made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely, the most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous. Allah is Knowledgeable, Expert.
53:38.None can carry the burdens of another.
114:1. Say: "I seek refuge with the Rabb of the people,"]
